would you like to have your ranked experience ruined by dynamic que or the bot lane/marksmen meta? plus the other small little dingleberries like bruiser assassins, turret first blood, increased death timers, shorter game times, snowball and damage creep that stretched in one form or another through both seasons.
there were some small positive additions in both seasons, mostly related to VGU and addition of some champions and some item changes, but the entire global mechanics changes and half of the reworks and item changes that happened throughout season 6 and 7 was one huge pile of garbage stacked ontop of another one.

Machine gun Kog’Maw was garbage until his attack speed passive was moved from his q to w which broke him
Jungle Malz was disgusting for awhile
Eh not sure about Maokai though, if he had his old ult I swear to god he’ll be broken beyond belief. You don’t want even more damage reduction to your team your ADC
