Remember that one time Riot hired a single silver to make the jungle more dynamic, and we got plants
haha good times
haha good times
I dont like plants. I just pop them for no reason so that any enemy cant get lucky enough to scape alive from a bad play.
Plus, vision plants I cant really use them to spot wards in the enemy territory, since I'm spotting my own position if I do so, I have to pop them pointing to the useless direction, so most of the time they are, well, useless. You think it's a bad idea? I cant count how many ganks I've avoided just because the enemy jungler wanted to see if there was a ward or not, "there wasnt dude! thank you for telling me you're on your way! see you in the next gank, yolo".
Ok so
A. Denying plants adds a strategic aspect o the game, which IMO is good
B. Now that they know you have 0 wards, what's to stop them coming 1-2 mins later, instead of immediately?
A) There's no strategy in an "only one choice" strategy (destroying the plants for no reason to avoid lucky strikes).
B) My ward cd comming back? was it a trick question?
The strategy comes from eithe denying it from enemies, or saving it for future use for yourself.
Also, if you had no wards down, then you would have 1 ward at most regenerating in the next min or 2. Unless you're sitting botlane and are forcing your support to ward everything, you can't have everything covered, which is why it's worth hitting the vision plant to check for watds
Are you saying they havent made things dynamic?
I use plants differently almost every game.
If we're using that as the dynamo metric I guess they should just revert the edge of night nerfs, or better yet give it 800 ad then it would be used every game by everyone even more so than it already was. True dynamicism.
Dynamic means to change.
And the plants do infact change the game and make it different from every game.
Some games ive stolen dragon others ive lost dragon via the same plant.
Thus the plants did indeed add a dynamic element to the game.
Be salty all you want.
But if riot set out to make the jungle more dynmaic they succeeded.
Both of your "suggestions" arent dynamic. They are static changes.
You should've just stuck to your only real argument, spamming the word salt whenever you want to project your own saltiness onto other people. Because then at least you'd sort of have a point, but you had to ruin it with that joke of an analysis where you equate stealing dragons to "change" and "change therefore dynamic". lol. And that's not my suggestion, it's yours because apparently if you use it every game, it's dynamic but wait not really if you can steal a dragon then it's dynamic now.

Plants are a pretty interesting addition to the game, in my opinion.
I'm not certain why you feel the need to argue and shove your own opinions down other people's throats in such a vitriolic fashion.
He said he used it differently every game--that's the part that's dynamic, not the fact that they are used every game.

If it's built every game then it's not dynamic, is it? It would be a constant, which is literally the opposite of being dynamic.
Plants add strategic aspects to the game that didn't exist before while taking away the need to smite camps for buffs allowing junglers to more efficiently utilize their smite and time it with big objective contests. Plants were one of the best additions to the game in recent years, and yes it does make the jungle and game in general more dynamic. So I'm not sure why you're complaining about this.
hahahaha say it again
Try giving a counterargument next time.
Go back and do it again instead of shutting him down with derision.
lol you really are the most uppity silver on this board, it's pretty funny how you go into every thread I make telling me water is infact not wet prove me wrong and then leave pouting when I tell you to fuck off back to silver after I'm done laughing at the nth asinine thing you've said
I'm done with the laughing, so how do you want me to do it this time?
Wait what? I don't remember commenting on any of your recent threads.
I think you're confusing me for someone else, I don't even recognize you.
Edit: I just looked through your recent threads, and I haven't commented on any of them, even the ones dating back two weeks. So yeah, I think you're confusing me with someone else. Unless this is an alt account and I do in fact know you.
There are 2 particular dumb silvers that post in almost every thread. You're one of them I'll remember the other if he shows up.

Ah...
Hey! I'm not dumb just because I don't agree with you.
Wait. I'm silver does that make me dumb? At least if you say yes I will know the odds are I am pretty smart. You haven't said anything right all day.
I however will be laughing as I click report to the bottom right of the post, because you know there is no reason for this kind of behavior in the community.
violating your safe space is more entertaining to me than anything really so keep crying about it
Okay. Maybe this time you'll actually read it.

hahahaha it's just as funny the second time around
you know I'm done talking logic to you troll. I've reported your toxic attitude to fellow members of the community and there is nothing more I need to say.
I think the vision plant gives a lot of interesting choices. You can waste it by popping it for no reason, sweep the wrong direction, or accidentally reveal your own position. All this is in exchange for invaluable vision. If all of the plants left, i'd keep this one. I consider it pretty dynamic.
Also, I have no problem with silvers designing things. Game design is a very different skill from league mechanics and tactics.
Plants were a good thing, actually, keeping things interesting. Maybe just the one exploding a little too much an hazard.
Plants are sweet
the plants were to make the jungle feel more ''alive'', personally, i'd change how the smite buffs would work over time, like grom passive, at first, it'd do more damage to the jungle creeps, for better clears, but over number of smites, it'd change to being more effective to champs just a dumb idea i had
Plants do make the jungle more dynamic. I know you don't like them, but that's beside the point. The jungle has more possible interactions because of plants.
wait... riot hires silvers to make the jungle more dynamic?...
is it possible to get hired to make the shop more dynamic as a bronze? because i have a plan to #makeleaguegreatagain
No they put one especially arrogant silver jungle main in charge of the season 7 jungle (yeah you heard that right), and his brilliant idea was plants. That and muscling out 90% of the junglers that couldn't compete with Lee but I think that was more of an unintended consequence of the silver understanding exactly nothing about the jungle.
Did you stated all this from 0 sources just because you're mad?
You want to bet your life on it?
Go ahead.

Oh that guy.
You do know that he gets his work approval from other Rioters, right? It's not like he secretly creates a project & then ships them without permission.

They did not hire him for the express purpose of creating plants like your title implies. He had plenty of experience at Riot beforehand as a developer. Furthermore, because this is a huge gameplay change, it was discussed and tested extensively before implementation.
Let's also not ignore the elephant in the room: Developer rank means nothing to the design process, because they don't rely on ad hominem arguments to make their decisions.
well plants would have been okay if they'd have made the interaction mechanics a bit smoother. RMB does way way way too many function.
