My past two queue had both a mid and jg hard rage because I banned Diana when they didn't show it in pick intent. Like fucking seriously, do you expect me to read your mind if you don't show your pick intent?

I fully agree with this, but it does suck when you get a Dodge, and then the next lobby everyone who showed pick intent gets their pick banned.

So for people with very infrequently banned picks, they may choose not to intent. However that's their choice, and they shouldn't rage when you ban it.

Although I generally hover my ban for 5 seconds before banning it, so people get a chance to say something (never has happened though).

I once made a post about people intentionally banning the champions I wanted to play after I picked them in pick intent. I got told not to use pick intent, idk what to do anymore.

Generally the point is not to get angry if someone bans the champ you want to play if you haven't shown it in pick intent. Very rarely do people ban the champ you show, and if they do, just dodge or play another champ. For example if one of my team shows intent of picking something like Riven into Garen, I may ban Riven if I see they're first timing Riven or does not play her a lot. Other than stopping a potential stupid countering yourself pick or trolling, most people don't ban pick intent.

It's actually a quite frequent thing happening to me. Part of the reason why I moved to Aram.

That's why whenever I ban out another role I ask if they want to play it

To bad there isn't some way they could indicate to you not to ban a champion, like some way to indicate which champion they intend to pick.

Imagine if that was a feature!

a couple of points:

  1. a lot of the time people play a few champions situationally, depending on the enemy comp. I personally have tried hovering a couple of champions before, but teammates aren't always paying attention.
  2. a lot of the time people ban other's intended pick, especially carry roles to try to get those roles or to spite them for not swapping

I'll grant you 1, but #2 is just a case of "people are shit", which isn't really fixable.

While i agree that one has no buisness to complain if his champ is banned when he doesn't show that he wants to play that champ, i still have to ask: Who the hell banns Diana? I can totally understand that dude was cought of guard, i'd never expect diana to be banned away ever, she neither is strong nor popular right now...

I would but if I wanna play something off meta but still viable I feel like someone on my team is gonna ban my champ and then I of course have to ask "oh hey I wanted to play that why did you do that?" And then they're toxic the whole time and sure they get reported and banned eventually I get that notification but man am I unhappy during that game
