Edge of Night

We're going to see if we can pull a nerf for Edge of Night forwards into 7.4, or at least do a low risk hotfix the same day 7.4 hits. Urgency on that feels high enough at this point we don't think we should wait another patch. Most likely changes (still being discussed) are increasing the CD again and lowering the AD on it. Possible whatever changes are made will be temporary as well if the conclusion during 7.5 development is a different nerf is better long term."

If I shat the bed as hard as Riot did with edge of night at my workplace and then told my boss yeah i'll look into it maybe next week i'd be killed

I feel like all that needs to happen is one or more of the following:

Can only be activated out of combat, and roots you while you channel it for 5 seconds.
The spellshield lasts for 0.5 seconds.
Remove 30 AD, 20 MR, and 10 Lethality from it.
Introduce a new 100 AP item that makes your abilities ignore spellshields, and give it 20 flat MPen, that way mages will have parity with assassins.

Why not add 35 armor to that item while you're at it? Balancing overpower by giving others overpower doesn't solve anything.

stands still for 5 seconds walks two feet no more shield I think the item is strong too, but try not to make it useless.

0.5 sec long spellshield would make it completely useless tho, given the amount of time it takes to channel. Maybe if u meant 5sec, it's somewhat more reasonable tho i think that's still pretty op

Would you rather they not balance the game at all? We could enjoy release Xin Zou still 1v5ing all game, release Yorik having the lowest damage in the game, and Sona still having as much health as a cannon minion. Lets not the forget Ye old Ward cheering.

and when it is on cooldown your lethality is disabled

Who could've predict that an item with offensive stats who also has with a spell shield would be broken after you buff the crap out of the lethality stat.
