I actually main yi for jungle because i do like him , i do have lvl 7 mastery with rengar and kha too but yi is my favourite ad jungler but whenever i do my job people are like '' lul noob champ '' especially at my elo , they don't realise how much does it take to do a perfect time W and Q but yeah right yi is a 0 skill champ . i 1v1d a fed trist , i alpha strike'd her ulti W'd her bomb detonation killed her because of that '' /all retard champ '' , i q'd annie's stun-ult like 5 times in one match , did countless ennemy flash/dash alpha strikes , i barely see any of the yi's in my elo ever do that maybe they don't even know about it because even i did not know about it before i started watching cowsep videos ( he is really a great player ) Seriously , i know i can mute those yi haters , but it just bothers me how it is in their mindset that yi is a noob champ he is not , he has more counters than the amount of bread i ate in my life shitty early game he only shines at mid-game when he gets atleast 2 complete items item 1416 item 3047 item 3153 /item 3046

There is no "no-brain" champions in the game.

Everything comes down to mechanics. Yi in concept simple to play but knowing when to alpha, heal, etc.. comes down to individual knowledge of the game.

actually yi is in fact a noob champ along with garen annie etc since their kits are so simple a potato could play them but even if the champ itself could be considered brain dead if you have the mechanical knowledge the skill ceiling continues to rise

Well, while I do think theyre not high skill cap champs. I've seen some terribad annie garen yi, so I guess theyre not that easy xD

to play Yi correctly you need game knowledge, otherwise the champion is simple yes

Honestly true, anyone can dodge a stun if you know her animations and timing tbh, hitting Q isn't an outplay lol

The rules of go are really simple, and you dont need any skill to put a black or white stone on a board.

Yet it's one of the hardest and complex board game to master perfectly, if it's even possible to master it.

stop building Phantom Dancer on Yi without dedicating to Crit, you kill your own power spike

I say NO. Alpha strike turret avoidance, flanking farm/gank balance, you need to think a lot as Yi.

Honestly, the best discription of master yi would be: "He is a noob champion: He kills noobs!"

Master Yi is a champion with one fatal flaw: One Stun and some teamwork and you are done.

I recently had a game against a Master Yi and a Tryndamere, both suffering from the same problem. They both had 8+ kills when the laning phase was over and from that moment on it was over.

We were premades, so we just waited till Yi used his Alpha Strike and then nuked him out of existance, and for Tryndamere we just kited him...

They are Pub Stompers, but they become useless as soon as the enemy team works together.

A good Yi has good game knowledge. Not good champ champ knowledge in terms of playing Yi since there is so little to the champ (which is fine). It's like a good hecarim... You focus on only a a couple spells and the rest is AA (more so on yis case) If you play a lot of one champ you find what match ups are good and what to do in poor match ups. Which many wouldn't know unless you do play a champ excessively. I knew how to play in every match up with old Galio with or against any comp.

Many champs are 'braindead' like Yi but that does not take away from the player. Most adc champs are braindead in the same way. But if you do not understand the match ups or the point in the role is to farm you're bound for failure.

I like yi because when i'm smurfing it allows me to win some games where I dont have a team at all and to 1v3 in late game.

The thing about Yi is that he requires that the other team ignores him and doesn't capitalize on his weak early game.

If the other team doesn't punish him or his lanes if he is a 0 presence farming jungler early, and their teamcomp lacks sufficient hard cc, then they kind of deserve to lose to him.

Yes and No.

It's like pressing a button for "steamroll mode: on", but if you don't do it at the right time then you don't get to have the intended outcome. If you do though, it's a breeze from that point onward till everyone's aced.
