Apparently tiger outclasses phoenix in every way except wave clear, which is easily solved with a tiamat. True?

Coz it's been multiple games when I tried phoenix and I get the comment "R is dead, go Q now" or something along those lines. In reference to most of Trick's recent videos, it does seem true that he seems to go tiger most of the time, except when trolling with full AP. Is the flame really inferior to the dot?
