Stop blaming it on a new season.

Matchmaking remains shit throughout the season and throughout pre-season, and so does balance.

Stop pretending like the first two months are going to be bad. I assure the rest of the season is going to be no better.

Except that Riot is putting ranked only missions and first time ranked players are showing up in what was formerly gold games. Had a heimer that never played ranked before, of all champs get 67CS at past 20 min mark. You can't honestly think that's acceptable lol.

Oh and he was against a Wukong...and enemy never ganked his lane. The Wukong musta had 200 years of experience or something.

Every loss I have had we have been completely stomped, every win I have had we have completely stomped. It's just a gamble at this point, a coin toss as to who gets the feeders or get-feds, nothing more.

doubt people are blaming it on the new season.

just the very beginning and end of every season are objectively worse for every season, the former being change testing, the latter being boosting as well as some changes.

its still shit but this season being hot garbage is independent of preseason being ass.

Hayaishi1/11/2020, 7:58:26 AM6 votes

Yes its a shitshow during the whole season.

Princess Bunhead1/11/2020, 9:35:02 AM6 votes

Oh gods, how I would love if the game was reverted back to somewhere start S4 to late S5, or maybe introduced as a game mode.

Those were the pinnacle seasons of league for me - doing away with all the fucking damage creep and the cancer fucking flashy dashy champions with no real weaknesses (BuT tHeY aRe PlAyEd MoRe - fuck you Riot), while also bringing back vision and boot enchants.

You'd think after playing this game for so long, people would begin to understand this...

Garson2111/11/2020, 8:03:58 AM5 votes

So there is no way,you have to accept the shit and eat it. Oh wait there is another way...quit the game then maybe riot think: "maybe we are doing something wrong" but tbh i think they newer change it coz only china market matter and they do game for 20 min cybercafe fiesta where all champs jumping like monkeys and have 3x normal size swords and guns

Nhika1/11/2020, 6:47:24 AM4 votes

Ladder resets is a cash grab technique for riot. Same of end of season rewards, look at how hard they are pushing twitch prime loot to milk the community even further lol.

Rito Game Bad

xelaker1/11/2020, 5:30:11 AM3 votes

The whole game is garbo right now

MasterDClone1/11/2020, 7:53:37 PM3 votes

for me its not the matchmaking thats bad, its just how sweaty all the players are during the first week, this week will be the altime point of toxicity for the season. Ive gotten more flamers, trolls and afk in my first 8 games then i got all last season and that has nothing to do with matchmaking or balance

Charmy Bird1/11/2020, 11:21:19 PM2 votes

This is by far the worst placements experience and I've been playing since s2. It feels 100% rng. Not better team wins but worse team loses that's how it feels. Whether I win or lose I feel the same it's not fun at all cuz I feel like I have no control over it I just got lucky not to be on the worse side this time. I don't want to go on the classic oh I have bad teams rant but the matchmaking is seriously bad. Thing is im not with bad players but with new and imexperienced I saw mistakes that only a new guy would make. Unacceptable imo

Pretty Much Look at Season 7.

When ever riot makes new changes like this, that following season is a Complete Shit fiesta. Its been proven time and time again each time they make these " Game play changes"

nothing we can do or bitch about because it always has sucked for at least one season.

Salty Mc Feed1/12/2020, 12:40:14 PM2 votes

Season 10 is as much of a disappointment as season 9. Binary balance, always stale meta until Riot comes out with some forced changes and placebo buffs and nerfs or a new reworks / champions that take top of the food chain. It becomes boring really fast and I actually stopped playing LoL for a long time last year. There are better games.

Nea1041/11/2020, 2:17:38 PM2 votes

And if they ask them, their official answer is "everything is fine, facts don't matter, and you can't understand". This is a shame, and I hope that something will finally happen for that.

Salty Mc Feed1/13/2020, 1:46:22 PM1 votes

Blame what on the new season? The new season barely changed anything. lol

BONUS DMG 2NOOBS1/11/2020, 3:36:57 AM1 votes

HAHA so true.

FilDaFunk1/11/2020, 2:22:06 PM1 votes

Big changes are bad for the game. We then get used to them. Then, we get more big changes and get used to them. And so on. Is the above accurate?

PhearBunny1/11/2020, 3:03:25 PM1 votes

adapt to the meta or dont. Enjoy the meta or dont.

Both choices are one in the same. Just like every season.

Kr1sys1/11/2020, 6:23:58 PM1 votes

matchmaking is always bad.

balance is especially shit early on, we just have to settle into a new meta usually.

JHouser1821/11/2020, 9:18:04 PM1 votes

It usually best to wait about a month for matchmaking to even out in solo queue. I don't plan on diving into this season till February.

SweedishGunner1/12/2020, 1:17:53 AM1 votes

I'm having PTSD from all the Cass, Diana and Ekko abusers. These 3 champs are fucking insanely over tuned right now.

Kendren11/12/2020, 1:43:05 AM1 votes

I mean... yes and no. While i agree matchmaking was shit last season. It is well known the mmr soft reset will make early season matchmaking that much worse until people get back to their actual spots.

Fella Air1/12/2020, 2:43:49 AM1 votes

yeah I love placing into gold and then getting that support heimer who buys dorans ring first item

yeaaahhhh boy.

DamSonWhUFndThis1/12/2020, 11:45:30 AM1 votes

Exept that you are going to start from 0 which is literally right next to players that just reach level 30 because I mean let's face it almost anyone can reach at least Silver 4 or even higher when they never played ranked while people from gold are getting dropped all the way to bronze (Idk where I dropped didn't play yet)

Zedthul1/13/2020, 12:08:54 AM1 votes

I was watching a replay today of a Master rank Mordekaiser. He lost his game in under 14 minutes. Now, this guy was pretty good I had watched a few of his other games. After the game was over I looked at the ranks of everyone in the game. Each team had 1 master rank player. The Mordekaiser (top lane) was Master rank, he also had a D I, 2 D3, and a Plat rank 1. The opposing team had a Kindred Master rank (Jungle), and everyone else on his team was D1.

How is that even close to a balanced match? That game ended I think 25 to 2 kill count. You can't expect 2 D3's and a Plat 1 to compete against a Master rank assassin and think a Top lane Master rank Mord is going to balance that out.

Illabethe1/13/2020, 4:39:26 AM1 votes

Here's the reality: Both perspectives are actually correct,

Early Season: Is really a crap show for average players because the troll-level confidence is still there from Preseason and takes awhile to mete out. However, it's also an opportunity for above level players to abuse them and climb faster.

Trollfest DOES gradually diminish as the season goes on, but is replaced by the "Averages" who begin gradually climbing on 50-50.5%, and take hundreds of games to do what good players did in 1/10th as much.

At this point, the game is opportunistic for those players who get trashed in the beginning, but games get marginally higher in difficulty, for the good players, and begins stat checking their MMR a little.

And then..... at the end of the season, is a mixed bag of both: Good players are trying to maintain rank/eek out a little more advancement. Average players begin feeding/panicking because they fear the ultimate enemy: Time. So... Average players who can keep their cool begin to climb with the good players, while the Averages who are panicking begin to derank.
