Recently Jax is being picked in alot of solo q games and if he picks up any sort of lead he just closes out a game solo. His synergy with sheen and titanic allows him to chunk most champions 1/3 of their health with one 3rd hit sheen titanic w proc and just shred down anyone. Conjoined with this is his ulti and build path that makes him super tanky also with insane burst with q e stunning someone making it feel pretty cheap.
Requiemsfire4 votesI wouldn't say that sheen titanic gives him insane burst because that's really not the case. When he goes Trinity force+Titanic he effectively gives up power spikes that his other items provide in favour of the tankiness/splitpushing power so that well he can splitpush better and survive burst better. However he has nowhere near the damage+sustain his other build paths give him.
korg0231 votesIts not just you, i played versus Jax in lane , dumpstered him and he won late game. It doesent matter how much he is behind with some items he becomes faceroll champion... he deals tons of damage while being sooo tanky with his ultimate.
SquashCannon1 votesI think one of the things making jax very popular is the rise of fiora, granted it's quite a skill matchup, jax can actally potentially deal with her at all stages of the game unlike most other champions.
He's also decent against riven, another ridiculously powerful champion right now.

Eh, darius it's a skill matchup in jax's favor until you get towards late game, but even then darius has tools to fuck jax in a teamfight.
Most juggies get dumpstered by jax though.
Nasus struggles a little early game but if he can farm it out wither is ridiculously powerful against jax for obvious reasons.
I have yet to test it out, but I bet five bucks yorick can scrape the shit out of jax by caging both in and pressing R when jax leaps on him.

yorick ghouls and maiden can both be dodged by E, feels bad
But yorick is tanky enough to survive past the 2 second counterstrike. Once CS is gone, it's yorick, maiden, and 4+ ghouls vs jax. I'd say yorick wins that. Jax can't afford to really try autoing the different ghouls while leaving yorick untouched.
If he attacks the cage to GTFO instead of dealing with yorick, then nothing happens and the trade is really non-existent.

Eternal7911 votesTrue, but he'd probably be a better pick than any other AA reliant champ, just cause of the shotgun knees. Also, his Q,E and R can't be dodged except by normal means since they aren't AA's. But yeah, Jax still might have the upper hand in this one.
Fear the Kayn1 votesJax is kinda like Tryndamere. You HAVE to win early in order to win late. Don't let the game go on for too long or you're going to get stomped. He's VERY weak early on, so IMO he's pretty balanced.

DoktorKaiser1 votesHe is actually pretty weak. The only way to win with Jax is to snowball or if enemy really has low CC or they dont have teleport on their top laner or some other bad decision. He needs much more damage items than someone like Darius or Irelia or Jarvan to deal the same amount of damage. This results in him either having weaker burst than he should but being able to survive, or being a damage monster but getting 1 shot easily. Not to mention he is very easy to peel from and kite even with his pathetic Q cooldown at lvl 5. All in all, I wouldnt say he needs a buff because op jax has no counterplay, but he is definitely not a strong pick outside of trash elo.
Also about his Q into W+3. auto from ult passive taking a chunk of your health, its been doing that for the last 7 years, were you living under a rock ?
