I am not fine with him at the moment.He should have received other changes before straight buffs.
The wind up time on sand soldier's attack is rather long.Azir's basic auto attack are super fast and smooth compared to the soldier's attacks.I often cancel the soldier's attack because i am used to the timing on Azir's basic attacks.I consider this problem as what riot calls scaling ranges inconsisten and detrimental to gameplay.
It's really annoying and i simply don't understand the reasoning behind such power gate.
Other one is:Upon casting Q S2 soldier rapidly picks up speed to reach X area nearly as fast as S1 soldier.

I lost many kills already because the amount of time for S2 soldier to reach X is simply too long. Q is supposed to be a repositioning tool yet it falls short in this situation.It might be intended but as i said changes like this should have taken priority before straight buffs.
Also there is something wrong with his power curve as after 35+ minute his winrate decreases.But he is supposed to be a late game champion.You can check it out at http://champion.gg/champion/Azir .

Sand soldier's still not attack sometimes.
Shifting Sands(E) can't be casted after a certain range even though it has been changed to Global.No the bond between the soldier and Azir isn't broken yet it simply cannot be casted.
I'll still play with him but not happy with the range buff.
