This is why Yasuo is banned in 47% of matches... Oh you shut Yasuo down and he is 0-8? Nah Fam, look who just got a penta-kill because he has 100% crit with 2 items...

he might also be banned from 47% of matches because a lot of people are fucking lazyasses who will never actually learn what his kit does or how it works or even go so far as to come up with countermeasures to it. That's why you have these people saying stupid shit like glass yasuo and tank yasuo dealing the same amount of damage.

So what if he was 0-8? That just means if you fuck up like a noob he will get even more gold if he manages to clean you up. Not sure why people have this ridiculous myth that champs can simply be shut out of a game forever because they died so many times when so much anti-snowballing has been placed into this game to sate those same whiners.

There are plenty of champs who do way too much damage from behind or while building pure tank/hybrid. Yasuo is by far the biggest culprit here. This is why people hate him. You can outplay him in lane, completely shut him down. 30 mins in he finishes his 2 crit items? He becomes a monster. THIS IS WHY PEOPLE HATE HIM. No champ should be able to come back that hard from a 2 item spike when he is that far behind.

yes, if you build 0 defense and someone builds the bulk of their powerspiking items you're not going to be much tankier than normal. The real question is while he wasn't at the top of his game what were you wasting all that time on. I don't care how badass your damage is, by the time you recover from being 0-8 I'm going to take 4 towers 2 dragons and build some defense to keep this game out of your reach since my gimped damage should be enough to handle you just like yours could otherwise handle me which works exactly the same way.

By the way his crits deal 90% damage and you can do the same thing with 50% crit chance on a lot of champs. Obviously there's a difference but I'm sure you also know that crit chance isn't actually random in this game.
