There is an old saying - "The customer is always right"
And when companies fail to listen to their customers, their game goes to shit. Blizzard, I'm looking at you. WoW was great and used to have a great community because their devs _listened to their player base _ then Ghostcrawler happened. Anyway, I digress. Riot, you are not listening to your playerbase or, well, at least half of your player base. Most solo players _just don't like dynamic queue _, it's really that simple. Why? Because you're at an immediate disadvantage. Instead of individual player skill being the only metric against which you and your opponents are ranked as would be the case in solo queue, instead, you are ranked according to two metrics: individual player skill and, potentially, _your ability to communicate as part of a team _. Now, that last part would be fair if both teams were balanced in terms of premades, however, we've all had those situations where the enemy team gets a 3 man premades and just shit stomps your five man solo team - the enemy team has an inherent advantage over your team just because they got a premade. In other words, MMR in a dynamic queue setting is much more meaningless than in a solo queue setting and solo queue players currently feel like they're just cogs in Riot's dream of a premade world. So, I propose the following:
- Solo queue - only allowed to queue up individually, team builder as it is now.
- Dynamic queue - only allowed to queue up in groups of two, three or five, team builder as it is now.
There, you now have a "competitive" team queue (well I'd argue it's not competitive but at this point it's clear riot wants to bury their head in the sands in this regard) and a competitive solo queue ladder. You know why you're too chicken shit to do this Riot? Because you're scared nobody will play in the Dynamic Queue so instead solo players get forced to endure your shitty system because "Riot know best". Either you start listening to your player base or you're going to lose fuckloads of people (well it's already started actually...) - you've been warned!
