Ezreal is sitting at a 45% winrate right now

And there are many champions who are suffering more at the moment, like Diana, but the reason I want to talk about Ezreal right now is that I don't think the problems with Ezreal are as complicated and nuanced as Diana's problems, cuz idk how to fix Diana .

From what I can gather, Ezreal's problems are directly related to the amount of DPS he can pump out compared to other adc's. The main reason for this is that other adc's can build crit and attack speed, while Ezreal has to try and keep up with their dps with on hit builds while juggling a cdr on his main damage ability.

My solutions for Ezreal would be for his q cd to scale off of attack speed, similar to Yasuo, and for it to be able to crit. Perhaps on crit the Q could do 150% of the base damage + ad scaling of the ability.

I understand that Ezreal had his time in the spotlight, and that Riot tries to rotate the meta champions to keep the game fresh (mostly because its impossible for every character to be good at once), but I thought I would just give my opinion since its been a while since I've posted anything.

I think there's just a massive gap between the good and the bad adc's. Caitlyn Draven Twitch TristanaLucian are god tier and every other adc is absolute garbage. It isn't just Ezreal that's struggling.

Well, you always haveAshe Varus Jhin, who as long as their numbers aren't absolutely shit (reminder that Jhin got royally fucked for Lethality and Varus was basically untouched in the grand scheme of things, because item 3153 ), will be playable.

Granted, you propably won't 1v9 on those 3, but you will be a useful player if you can hit your skillshots.

From the AD carries in the game, in truly bad spot are Sivir Ezreal MissFortune and maybe Jinx are in a bad spot.

Vayne should not be a strong meta champ right now given the lack of tanks...

idk, his main damage ability has a 2.5+ second cooldown on it at max rank. I don't think champions like caitlyn or draven would be half the champions they are if they had to wait a whole 2.5 seconds between their autos. Ezreals standard autos just don't cut it when it comes to dps, he has to use his Q in order to do as much damage as any other adc's single auto.

If you are hitting your Q, it's a 1.7 second cooldown. It is also much longer range than other adc's autos and can be used to hit enemy you don't have vision on which is a major bonus as an adc.

With the way I see it, the problem stems from his innate, or at least the evaluation of his it. His innate anti-synergizes with itself; it requires casting spells, but casting spells is in direct conflict with attack speed. With more attack speed, spending times casting spells means auto-attacks are being lost. And then there's the issue that absolutely nothing in his kit wants attack speed.

Convert the innate to AD (even if it's just a band-aid fix until he can be properly changed) and he will greatly improve in multiple aspects.

if you want a crit carry damage then build crit carry build dont build on hit to suppliment being as safe if not safer than caitlyn then complain that you cant do as much damage when you are out of your auto attack range the majority of most fights.

I dont mean you particularly but if you not gonna build crit carry damage dont expect it. Its not like ezreal isnt dangerous and most people playing ezreal neglect his w and that is a strong utility attack speed buff that could increase dps drom fighters Juggernauts and assassins. Not to mention many mages having aa modifiers. Ezreal Q isnt low damage by any means and he is safer than the rest of an already super safe class. One of 2 remaining champions that decrease their ults cooldown and the only one of any champion that did whos ultimate is a crossmap nuke. Ezreal being 45% win rate isnt nearly as important as him being one of the 3 default champions you choose if you dont know or suck at adc others being ashe and caitlyn. With that context added 45% is morderately high if riot had any justice in context when buffing or nerfing beyond win eate and play rate

Ezreal is sitting at a 45% win rate because he is a lot harder to play effectively than people give credit, you only pick ezreal in matchups where being an adc would already suck (Riven Khazix Zed Caitlyn Brand as an example) and he doesn't have a good laning phase.
