how does +% crit damage work

arc95··1 votes·517 views

so lets say i have a 100 damage crit(without runes)

will the %crit be taken from the 100 damage or just the bonus damage from the crit

so lets say 100 ad crit and my regular aa is 80 ad will it be

100*%crit

or 20(the bonus from crit)*%crit

EDIT: ty guys

WHAT THEY SAID BELOW: so crit works through percentages(%200 ad) and it just increases the %damage your crits do... so +10% crit will increase your crits damage to 210% :P

I believe it works like this: You have 30% crit DMG. Then your crits do 230% AD instead of 200%. So, if you have 100 AD, your crtit does 230 DMG. Normal crits does 200% AD dmg

Your basic bonus damage on a crit is 100%. That means the attack that crits will deal 200% of your AD as damage.

Bonus crit damage, from IE or runes, is added to these values. If you have an IE, you get +50% crit damage, meaning that the bonus damage is 150% and the attack will deal 250% AD.

It adds percentage points, not flat percent. Aka, Shaco's Q crit deals 150% of his AD instead of 200%. An IE won't increase that by 50% of the bonus (150% of your AD+ 50% of 50 = 150 + 25 = 125% of your AD) but instead by a whole 50 percentual points of your AD (150% of your AD + 50 % of your AD = 200% of your AD)

This is unnoticeable on a normal crit, since it has 200% of your AD = 100% bonus damage, and 50% of 100 is 50 so it comes down to the same.

In Rito buzzwords - additively, not multiplicatively.
