is because supports have to be weak when they get gold, but still have an impact without gold.
so basically they have to be a tool for their allies to use, not an ally that can help them win.
why not make support bots?

It's certainly less gold, but it's not "none". 10.8k is well over what you would get just sitting at the fountain.
I main ADC though, and I know when I get a good support: suddenly my job is way easier, and it's more likely I can carry. You guys are just getting fooled by the illusion that supports don't have a lot of impact when in fact they do.
Idk, I feel more like I'm the one who decides when my allies live or die when I play support. It's just in my best interest to keep you alive.

Supports in League are so boring to play. I prefer Dota2 and SMITE's support system.
Wards are consumables, so you don't have to buy the Slavestone 
to break your kneecaps even more.
The slavestone needs to be retired for the golden dawn of supports to begin. Everyone should be responsible for warding.
