Fizz is still one of the most unbearable champions to ever play against with two gap closers, a ranged AOE slow with a dumb hit box, and the fact that hes never not fed. A single item is all he needs to all in 100 to 0 you.

You all can tell me to play kayle. You all can tell me to buy zhonya. Neither of those stopped him from standing next to me then destroying my butt and the rest of my teams

Cleanse removes his ult no? With remove I mean it stops it from following you.

So why not opt into cleanse when fighting Fizz just like you do when fighting TF? An evenly ahead Fizz can't 100 - 0 you without his ult damage.
