Basically does Eggnivia get the melee effects of double edged sword or the ranged effects of double edged sword?

I think she is still ranged, +1 for SSB reference tho.

Iiii suppose she remains ranged, only that she has no mean to attack.

Easy to know. Go in a custom and check her autoattack range while in egg form. If it's still 600, she gets the ranged effect.
