Why is Taliyah played so much in high ELO?

Pretty much the title. I enjoy playing Taliyah a lot, (mid Gold ELO) and rarely see her at all. However, I see in high diamond/challenger games, Taliyah is actually a fairly consistent pick.

Now I am not a super skilled Taliyah by any means, but I feel like I understand her kit quite well. In particular, I feel like teamfighting with Taliyah is more utility based than anything as her Q rarely makes it to the backline if the other team is positioned properly. However, due to her strong early laning phase and massive roam potential, she can still greatly influence the early/mid game. Because of this, I always considered her a mid-high tier pick.

So why is it that she is picked so consistently in high ELO?

Good champion if piloted well. Easier to carry and perform well for worse players if they play easier champions.

Requires coordination to use effectively with a team, which you'll see more of at high elo.

Because shes a good champion The only thing low elo players cant do is use her ult properly

Weaver's wall for one. It works sorta like a teleport. As well can form a barrier for escapees especially if they already use flash. So she can easily gank mid or top.

Sure there were times you wanted to help an ally but the champ you had was not fast enough to make it. Taliyah staying close to wall get there more quickly and if her teammate is being pursue she can halt the chase with her ult or if the enemy going to escape she can barricade them or ride the wall over and go in for the kill or land some dmg so her team mate can take them out.

Her Q does decent dmg.

Her W and E are CC. (I believe High elo love CC's everyone probably should.)

So she have good dmg, CC, high mobility (for a mage).

with an ult like that , you can roam SO EASILY. and a 2 second q that procs tlords. its op. she has ALOT OF DAMAGE , ALOT OF ROAM , ALOT OF DEFENSIVE ABILITES THAT NUKE , its a safe pick that can carry games. Also you can force bot lane flashes if you use your ult right , essentially changing the game

Roaming capabilities.

Also, if you know how to use her ult, it can be very useful in either defending or taking objectives.

Waveclear and roaming power gets more valuable the higher you go up the ladder, taliyah has this in spades

as for low elo scrubs like myself her mechanics are awkward, the mini Lucian ult for a Q is awkward feeling moving to match the enemies movement to land more rocks (Aurelian sol has this feeling too) and her W is like a reverse viktor/rumble ult, easy to use in lane but it gets a bit hectic feeling in the fray
