Would it be better to wait to finish placements?

Since all the higher elo players dropped down to a max of Plat 1, should I just wait to finish placements?

Mostly I just don't want to climb out of Bronze again.

So if I waited a couple of weeks would it place me better? since all the divisions wouldn't be so crowded with Diamond+ people.

Currently 5/2 in placements. Was Silver 4 last season with Silver 4 mmr.

(I know I'm a scrub)

No. There are always smurfs and bad players, you can't avoid them, stop trying to. Just learn to deal.

I didn't say anything about smurfs or bad players...?

EDIT: I actually enjoy playing against/with smurfs, especially if I'm laned against them. It's a great learning experience. Even if it results in a loss it gives a lot of experience in learning how to just hard carry a game, which is pretty much what you have to do to climb low elo.

As for "bad" players, eh. I mean it's evitable at every elo. Just gotta hope they aren't on your team lol.

Wait until all of the idiots are done playing ranked. About 2-3 weeks, then its mostly people that actually want to win and have a little clue on how to.

Since you're already 7 games in, I'd keep going if I were you, though.

At this point, where you end up is pretty much already set, give or take a division or two. You'll be around the same if you win 7/10, provided your losses weren't really early in placements.

Climbing now would be more productive than waiting a few weeks.

Also, keep in mind that you should dodge any sketchy champion select during placements. There's no penalty for doing so.

Oh I thought it was an auto loss if you dodged? Sweet!

My end goal for this season is at least Gold, with enough time I think I can get it. So I probably will just finish them up sooner rather than later.

Thanks for the knowledge.

Finishing in Silver 4, you'll most likely end up in bronze regardless. The ladder shifts, all positions shift. If you happened to go 10/10 you'd mostly likely still get below silver 4. It's just how the system works. I would just finish your game now and climb back to silver 4.

You'll end up in bronze unless you win all 10 and even then you might get silver 5. I've seen some posts about plats going down to low gold and gold players in silver so it seems a lot of people are dropping a whole division regardless of how well they did
