Mana on Leblanc?

While playing Leblanc I always seem to have a few mana problems. I understand mana isn't nessicary on Her and a lot of the times I never build it. I would, however, like some other opinions on mana items in the games where I want the extra mana. Is it better to build an archangels for the added damage and the shield? The Tear can be built up over time so an entire archangel's staff isn't nessicary until late game. With an Athene's it needs to be built towards the start of the game around the 3rd or 4th item in my opinion. I like Athene's kit but it's less damage on somone that's based on burst. What are your opinions? Thanks guys!

You can stack ROAs on LB. Otherwise you shouldn't have issues if you have 2 doran's rings.

Well, unless you're playing mage LeBlanc, you shouldn't be building mana on her at all. She's not meant to spam spells, shes meant to get in kill one person and get out/clean up. Her ult even costs no mana. Thought if you REALLY feed like you need the mana, you could opt for tear, although I really don't reccommend it as it will be hard to stack it. ROA could work too. Gives her a bit of tankiness.

Just like "life steal" isn't something you should be worrying about on AD Assassins, it gets built anyway.

The only way you run out of mana as LeBlanc is if you constantly use spells to waveclear.

Learning how to use each champ's mana pool effectively is part of learning how to play them, man. You can use a mana item if you need to, but you'll most likely get flamed for it, and it's not very effective on an assassin like LB as it would be for mid Morg. Assassins are pretty much required to build straight damage, since if you need to go tanky either you're playing them wrong or you just didn't get a tank on your team.

Just get a few mana pots if you find yourself burning mana to harass, which, ideally, you shouldn't have to do much of, if I remember playing against LB well enough. Assassins wait for their targets to get out of position before bursting them down. You should harass with your lowest-cost easiest to land spell. Mana pots are great since you don't have to commit a full item slot all game, and they let you burst more frequently, granted you have enough CDR.

Try Morellonomicon. I always rushed that when I was learning LeBlanc so that my failed combos would be more forgiving to my mana. I also started Crystalline Flask instead of Doran's Ring. Again, Flask is more forgiving if you aren't super comfortable on her and it is a great way to sustain yourself while roaming. I play her strictly as an Assassin, so I get much more out of the gimped healing and 80 AP of Morellonomicon than I do the extra mana regen and 60 AP of Athene's. Never tried Archangel's staff on her, though.

Nowadays I rush DFG because I am efficient with my combos. I find that when you get comfortable enough, someone will almost always die after your combo which saves you a lot of mana. If you never miss a Chain or fail a Distortion, you'll kill everyone before you go OOM.

If you have mana problems (like I did), I'd recommend comparing Morellonomicon -> DFG, Athene's -> DFG, and Archangel's Staff -> Deathcap. See which one fits best your playstyle.
