Legit question about the new "Shield Bash" rune.

I want to preface this by saying that I'm not trying to bash Riot's decision to put the rune in like some of the other people on these boards are doing. I'm just legitimately confused.

For those of you who don't know, Bone Plating is being removed and replaced by a new rune called "Shield Bash" on the PBE.

Shield Bash (R2) Takes place of Bone Plating [New Effect] "Whenever you gain a shield, while still shielded your next basic attack against a champion deals 5 - 39 (+1.5% Bonus Health) (+8.5% Shield Amount) bonus adaptive damage (minimum 4s proc window)."

What exactly does (minimum 4s proc window) mean?

You need to proc it within 4 seconds of activation.

In other words..... You can technically proc this rune up to 6 times a second.

If for example a Lethal Tempo Twitch with item 3080 takes it, and has a Janna support, He can literally proc it 6 times a second as long as his Health keeps dropping/gaining to max and into shield territory.

(This theoretical is based around the assumption that He has his own shield, Janna has hers, and Janna's Ult is proccing Aery at close range. It's not realistic, but it gives you an idea of what an ADC can do with it)

Draven and Jinx are going to have a field day with this rune.

my guess is that, just from reading, you get the shield bash everytime you get a new shield. So let say J4 uses his W to cast a shield, you dont have the bash yet. Janna shields J4, now you have a shield bash, you have 4 seconds to proc this(minimum 4s window). and before you can proc this another teammate like lux shields you, now you've resetted the window since you got a new shield on top of a new shield not 100% sure, but my guess is that everytime you get a new shield while proc is up, you'll get a new time window, first bash might be 4sec, next 6sec, etc

Does shield bash only proc on self-generated shields? Or can you be shielded and still gain the buff?
