Fizz can proc thunderlords in one hit.
Why is this allowed?
Why is this allowed?
For the same reason that Morgana's Tormented soil can proc it in about a second and Malzahar could hypothetically proc it from across the map.
A plethora of champs can activate it with ridiculous ease. Some even easier than Fizz can. Fizz being able to do it isn't not fair. At least his is somewhat dodge able with flash or dashes I believe. Sydras ult can't be dodged and that auto procs thunderlords...don't get me wrong, I don't care about either, there are just stronger things.
The thing is, Syndra needs to burn her ult to get a proc in one spell.
Fizz needs to burn Q. I find this... annoying.
So? Lux, Brand, Malz, Bard, Cass, Talon, Morg...the list goes on. Loads of champs can do it with one spell and auto and Fizz puts himself in arguably the most danger when doing so.
The thing is that all of those take either A. More than just a single spell cast B. Time
Fizz has the capability to proc it instantly, solely requiring him to either tap Q while he has a point in W.
Also, for Cass/Brand/Malz, it is slightly harder than it sounds. For applied DOT spells, it only ticks once. So while Miasma and Null zone would proc it rather quickly, Malefic Visions, Blaze, and Noxious blast would only stack it once.
Cool, so punish him for going in on you, cause, ya know he has to dash past you to use it. It's not very hard to deal with unless you're already playing a champ that he is strong against. In which case that's on you or you got countered.
Punish a Fizz that has only used his Q?
So...you're letting a Fizz get that close to you without any harass? Seems like a good idea.
Well if you are unleashing combos on a Fizz that still has his E ready I don't think it's going to end well.
Yea, wasting my time here, you clearly don't know how to lane vs a Fizz.
More like "lack fo arguments".
But ok, if that lets you sleep at night.
I mean, I do have more, but you clearly won't get it, and I've never lost a lane against him myself. Who do you even play against him that he gives you trouble?
I wish I could choose my enemies' picks xD
Anyway, lets go back to constructive things. The pessimism I show is because my most usual pick is Xerath and while I have won against several Fizzes I do recognise that a decent or good one has free kills on me if he happens to catch me once (even under turret).
Now, If you suggest me to work more around harassing him a lot while he is farming I can improve in that. If you have other suggestions I'm all hears.
I mean, I would suggest poke, yea, from max range. Get your mana item ASAP so you can farm from as far as possible while still being able to harass him (I'm not sure if I remember this right but if one of his abilities reveals, you can reveal the Raptor camp to get your passive proc, or just walk around for it between waves). Xerath should be able to pull that off, cause, ya know, Xerath. Try to keep him zoned from you and always try to hold your stun for when he goes in on you (if you time it right you can stun him mid dash and then combo with impunity, though that's difficult). Really though his E has a really long cool down early. If you can bait it out of him you have roughly 20 seconds of free time so try and keep a count of it. Watch his item, learn his cool downs and you'll find the lane a lot easier. I'd personally suggest getting a friend to play a few games against you as Fizz (hopefully a friend that's good at Fizz) if you have that option. My opinion on the best way to learn how to beat a champ is to play them yourself though. Give him a go for like 5-10 games. Once you figure out what strategy beats you as Fizz, then try your best to replicate that when facing an enemy Fizz.
That's what I try to do most of the times. Unfortunally mana cost don't allow me to use W just to reveal because the mana I get back early on is really low, I'd rather use a ward or go for them myself. Learning his CDs is something I must improve a lot.
I agree on the "use them to learn to fight them" but Fizz is some1 I really hate and I can never see me playing him, it will take a bit more time but I guess I can improve, thanks.
Yea, warding makes sense for that too. As for hating Fizz, I'm pretty sure everyone that doesn't play him with some consistency hates him. The only reason I own him was to play him enough that I know his cool downs enough. Sometimes you gotta work through the hate to learn, unfortunately. I had to do the same with Leblanc and Zed (actually took a liking to Zed once I got the hang of him).

not really, no. W->Q and then a free escape with E. Not really "Dangerous"
Why are you letting a Fizz get that close to you without recourse?

Yes because i play zed and if he comes close he will regret it :P
So then what is the point of arguing danger? He's clearly putting himself in danger by going in on you as a Zed xD

Yes, but Zed is one champion. What about the other mid lane champions?
I'd hardly call 1/3 of his mana free.
Lux and Bard don't proc it in one spell.
yes i'm necroing this thread
Lux and Bard can proc it in two
what are you talking about
what are you talking about
i think he means since w resets AA+Q+W however he is really complaining about nothing atm especially when jax can 2 shot you without thunderlord and 1 item(rageblade).
No. I mean one hit.
Fizz's W passive counts for thunderlords.
Edit: according to the wiki, the physical and magic damage on his Q count as seperate sources. One applies thunderlords as an onhit, the other as a spell effect. That in addition to the passive damage on W results in an instant proc if you Q a champion while you have a point in W.
It's on a 30sec cool down does it really matter?

it's a tooltip bug. it's 20. read the patchnotes next time. And you can and go count it by yourself.
lee sin can go qq auto gg noob
Fizz's Q counts as an auto and a spell, so 2 procs there, and if he has w on then it counts as a spell and an auto so that's another 2 procs.
