Can someone please help give tips against Trundle?

Title. I don't main top and usually play either Wukong or Olaf, but Trundle is just too much for me. I get an early lead, maybe some good lvl 1-3 trades, even a kill. But after early game, he just builds something defensive and roflstomps me every trade. His slows let him repeatedly use his chomp, which does insane damage. The same situation happens to me when I play against Volibear. Is there anything I can do?

Trundle has a lot of early game power, specifically his Q/W/R. Trundle's Q/R are debuffs/buffs or a stat stealer. Once he hits lvl6 he will demolish you in 1v1s because he steals a hefty percentage of your MR, armor, and health. If he activates his W before ulting he gets super healed. His Q lowers your AD by some number and gives him some AD. He does have a big weakness early game though, which is waveclear. He has no AoE abilities so it might be best to push the lane as hard as possible and avoid ganks.

Basically, he is a strong early-mid game mele duelist with bad waveclear that steals his enemies tank stats, and has strong sustain. Lategame his damage isn't very good but his tankiness is unmatched. I would most likely avoid fighting him post6 as Wukong or Olaf without having a clear advantage.

OR... Avoid fighting him with his ult up.

Trundle is incredible strong one on one, but he 's got windows of power.

Try to keep your distance when he is inside Frozen Domain or when he uses his Ult.

Avoid building Health as that will only increase his heal. Try to get healing or shields instead.

But build defenses. Him stealing more isn't as important as you try to avoid him during ult.

Get a QSS to clear his debuff.

If you're an AD champion, you lose.

If you're AP, you can win but you can still be overpowered.

You don't duel Trundle.

Hopefully you can farm up, scale, and out split push or out teamfight him.

What are you building as Olaf?

You shouldn't be top as Wukong.

trundle and voli are one of the new op right now, they can go full hp/armor and still do a shit load of dmg. u can really duel them, nobody can.

Olaf: Black cleaver then tanky, and I sometimes use Wu jg

Shove him in early. His wave clear early game is actually garbage. Use that to your advantage and roam whenever you get to shove him under tower.

EDIT: If you're especially cocky and know how to do it without dying, Trundle's shitty wave clear makes it fantastically easy to set up your proxy farm against him.

A decent Fiora can rape trundle, just remember that

I mained Fiora a while ago, but I don't play her anymore. I refuse to play the reworked Fiora srry :/

Aww, her ult just wrecks him because he really has no mobility to stop her from dashing around and hit all the vitals, procing her ult and outsustain him like crazy

Trundle's primary weakness is sustained magic-based harass and champions with a lot of sustain. Right off the bat: if you see trundle in a draft pick and you have the opportunity to counter him, champions like Swain/Vlad/York are extremely effective at shutting down his farm and being a nuisance in general.

Trundle also fares poorly in the long-run with duelists who outscale him, like Fiora. Trundles greatest strength is dealing with AD Champs who tote a lot of armor for him to snatch away, so Olaf and Wukong are pretty much always going to find him a huge threat.

Getting him to waste his W/Ult hurts his dueling strength a lot, especially since his Ult CD nerf. Lifesteal or some other form of sustain is also favourable over a big HP pool. Finally, the backbone to his kit is AD and empowered AAs, so armor is still a bit of a necesitty--which makes avoiding his Ult all more important.

With olaf, start dirans blade and get an early vamp scepter, max E with an early second point on W. Follow it up with some armor. If he doesn't rush an iceborn, you should be able to sustain yourself till he's oom. You should also be able to win short trades with E, and if he uses W, try to get away from him, and turn around with your own W once his expires. Also, never fight him when he ults, if need burn your own ult to get away from him. You can't win a fight while his ult is active.

With wu, play an agressive hit n run game lvl 1-3 and hope for an kill, then focus on either roaming mid or TPing bot, make plays on the map with your ult. Try rushing hydra for waveclear, if trundle doesn't do the same you should be able to shove in ways and either back of or roam. Useing boots of swiftness can help to get away from him despite the pillar.

later in the game, QSS can help alot as it alows to remove his ult, and i think also the ad-debuff from Q.
