The new UI is particularly bad and hard to read.
Title.
Seriously. Cooldown timing is impossible to read now with how the blue circle is presented within the cooldown counters.
The information players WANT such as statistics like Attack damage, AP, Armor, MR, are all small, hard to read, and now have new icons that...Don't as accurately portray what they're supposed to symbolize.
The positioning of all the information is really cluttered and packed together in one section of the screen -- I understand you wanted to clear up space in the corners for more view of lanes/the field itself, but cluttering everything into one compacted UI is a deceptively bad idea. I'm not saying I won't give it a chance -- I've only played one game of ARAM to see how it was, but it was pretty damn miserable having to search around my screen trying to figure out where the fuck everything was. It was utterly frustrating. It may wear off after a while, but in this HUDs current state -- I honestly hate it. I'm sure there are plenty of others, too.
Couldn't you..Fix things that players want fixed instead? Everyone loved the old UI because it provided information in a concise manner that was clear to read, and could be grasped as a starter-level player to veteran. The new one..It hides information we need, and gives us information we DON'T need. I loved that you added attack range as a little information tool -- it's a lovely add! But everything is so..CLUTTERED, and the new icons you have to represent the stats..they're small, the blue outlining makes them hard to decypher, let alone some of the symbols..Don't make as much sense as the prior symbols. Magic resist..What's that symbol supposed to be, exactly? Attack speed? Is that a hatchet or something? Movement speed looks silly. Is that supposed to be a really awkward looking boot, or what?
Like I said prior -- I could be wrong. It could improve with time by getting used to it. But I can't lie, the way it's presented..It's an EYESORE with how compact it is -- and the fact that it's placed center-screen, it partially draws focus off the center of the field (which is where a individuals eyes are going to focus naturally). Couldn't you have given us multiple options on the placement of everything?
Just my opinions of it. //Rant over
