im silver 5 and when season 8 starts im gonna try and aim for plat or maybe higher but a lot of people say have 1-2 MAIN roles. The thing is i like playing all roles and when i go into ranked and i just play what role i want but of course ill be able the champs im good at in that role. i cant decide to cut it down to even 3 roles but maybe i will once i start climbing and maybe i cut out top or supp but is it bad that i switch up every 2 matches or so because it makes sense that if you have 1-2 main roles you will very good at those two cuz that's all you will be playing but i cant cut any roles out right now.

If your winning over 50% of games, yes its fine. If you have under 50% on a role, it will slow you down. One tricking is easier for climbling but your playing LOL to enjoy yourself not to climb ladder.

Being flexible can be a good thing, if you are handling it correctly. As "Kai Guy" already mentioned, if you have above a 50% win rate you should be fine. While yes, if you focus on 1 or 2 roles with a small champion pool you will get better at playing those roles, the benefit of filling is that you can replace the weakest link. If you go fill, then you might end up getting less autofilled teammates, which is a pretty big plus in itself. Decreasing the number of autofills is the main reason I played support in ranked last year.
