ARAM Ranked but you choose your champion

It would be very interesting to at least try in PBE. The meta would be completely different, "objective control" would be obselete, and overall would be kind of cool to see which pro players do and don't make it to the top of the ladder. Just make a ranked ARAM where you ban champions and then choose champions the same as in ranked normally. Queue times would be nonexistant as roles wouldn't be picked. There's ranked solo/duo, there's ranked twisted treeline, why not in ARAM too if done correctly?

Meta would definitely be focused around poke mages and ADC's with the occasional tank or utility support. Tell me this wouldn't be fun as hell.

So... take away the main thing that makes aram be well... aram? At that point it'll just be "AM" or just poro king without poro king

I tell you "this wouldn't be fun as hell", actually it would be boring as hell. Not to mention there is nothing all random about it.

All Draft All Mid would be boring, since it'd immediately stagnate into the same 20-30 champs being pick/ban every game.

However, "Random Draft" would be great. Basically, "just make a ranked ARAM where you ban champions and then choose champions the same as in ranked normally," but each player has to choose from three random champs (of similar power) rather than from the entire roster. No rerolls, no bench. It's basically the spirit of ARAM combined with the experience of Draft.

If you pick your champion it's no longer an ARAM so I'm not sure what you're asking for. Maybe a new game mode is what you actually want.

If there can be a ranked mode for such a random game as TFT, then there can be a ranked mode for ARAM as it is.
