Another reminder that we need more bans

There are so many champions that are absolutely ridiculous to fight. The list just keeps getting bigger. Its at the point where a few of them are always left open.

More bans won't solve anything because than people want more and more till it gets out of hand.

Nah, the champ roster has since tripled from the released LoL, it's about time the ban list grow too.

It's only natural.

If more bans happen it can not leave solo que to competitive that's my only problem with this.

If Riot actually need more ban to "balance" this game which mean they already failed at balancing, might as well fired the entire balance team and add 10 bans. The point of banning is to ban X champion to remove him/her from a team comp, not because he's/she's OP. Riot need to improve their game balance, disable/ban X champ from 1 game is not a fix or balance.

While I want more bans, this is true. Riot should balance the game better and maybe not let the same champion be viable for seasons on end while many others see little play. That's fine, it's the meta. But meta shouldn't be everything. I like that they are trying to change things, and new champs are cool, but stuff needs to happen with what is already here first.

I also recall them saying they were trying to rework Urgot's entire kit. Absolutely nothing's been heard of him since. They probably left him alone after seeing Urgot get picked at Worlds this year.

Not true at all sir. Watch most competetive events. Blue side can get away with target banning a player, while red side gets forced to ban patch OP's because they don't want blue side to first pick them. There are plenty of OPs but I don't agree the above list is quite true of the actual ops.

Perhaps, but there is a reason people want more bans, because there are more than three meta champions that generally do well and are hard to fight for a lot of people. A justification for that is that LoL started out with 40 champs if I'm not mistaken, and while I wasn't playing back then (Started right before Darius came out) I assume there have been 3 bans for a while, even since I started playing there have been at least 30 new champs I think. Especially with new kits having new things (projectile block, double crit, etc) there are just more and more champions and yet not much change in the old ones and also no more bans even though the amount of champions is going up. I think 5 bans just makes sense and we should leave it there, then there's actually one per person (and there's literally just enough room for 2 more under the first 3.)

What is required is more actual balance. Were it not for Riot's Balance so-called Team always breaking shit bans would be strategic rather than required. This pick currently has a 90% ban-rate : Skarner (and also highest win-rate) This one currently has the 2nd-highest win-rate : Garen

While I agree that we DO NEED more bans, but I fail to see how most of the champs on that list is even remotely problematic.

You even threw Cho and to some level, Vlad up there just to show you're being serious.

I don't like banning, because there isn't a single champion that I want to ban. If I am forced to ban, because I'm first pick, I usually ask my team for every single ban. I really hope that they keep the 3 (or maybe even less) bans per team.

We had 2 bans per team in season 1. Back then, the game had less than 70 champions. We had 3 bans to do in season 2. We still have those 3 bans since 2012.

Now the game has around 130 champions. And a lot of champions are broken and impossible to fight, they have 0 counterplay and can't be shut down so easily.

2 more bans (per team) are needed and would be a reasonable decision from Riot.

cho gath masteryi blitz xin in that list down voted get good

A Miss Fortune3 votes

Cho'gath is overpowered since his only fall offs are him having no mobility, but he makes up for that with a lot of AoE CC/abilities that all have really high range.

Master Yi is overpowered with Sated since he can do 900+ true damage to a single target, not including the physical damage he can do

Blitz is broken since he can miss every single grab, but the one time he hits one on the carry he wins a game. Low risk, extremely high reward.

Xin has been broken since release and he's absolute cancer that needs to be deleted.

In Solo Queue, we need 5 bans per team, 1 ban per player. Everyone gets their most preferred ban.

In coordinated ranked 5v5s, you get the same amount of bans. Because those people should know what they're doing.

Yes, this, please.

Everyone get 1 Ban each. We Really need this.

When I go ADC, there are too many other problematic champions like Garen Illaoi DrMundo, and I'm not able to get my Blitzcrank ban.

It's all I've ever wanted.

I have a revolutionary idea that can fix this half of this problem. Let each team ban 1 item, and that will fix the sated devourer problem. That one item is game breaking.

or they could increase the number of bans, but have people make a preset of the champions they would ban so every game they are first pick those champs are autobanned. This would make it to where there are more bans, and actually skip the banning phase in champ select altogether.

BlkGolem1 votes

Actually just had a thought. This is a little crazy and probably not a great idea, but bans could be a progressive thing, where champions get banned while people are picking somehow, allowing for more counterplay to team comps and not just those 3 champions you don't like.
