So, I want to play two champions, Nocturne, and fizz. They're both 4800 IP so I want to see who I should buy first. I tried out nocturne already and I think he's very fun but people are saying hes not THAT good. I never tried fizz but I've seen his insane burst and I wanted to try him out. Everyone says I should try fizz out... Which one is better in the jungle, Nocturne, or Fizz? Also, which one is better in top lane? Thanks in advanced :D

Lugg1 votesFizz is stronger than Noc. He does some of the highest damage in the game, is WAY safer, and he is viable top, mid, and jungle. Noc is a good champ as well, but he can't carry quite as hard as Fizz.

Fisherman Fízz1 votesImagine you're on a place with a lot of snow, make yourself a big snowball, now get it rolling down a snowy hill, it will just get bigger and bigger until it is so large that nobody can stop it just like the cartoons. Now put that term into use in League of Legends, a champion that snowballs is usually a champion that requires about 1 or 2 kills in lane to get rolling and murdering everyone.
Champions like 
are good examples of champions that snowball hard.

Nocturne can do some things fizz can't and vise-versa, but in the end you will have more success by learning/playing Fizz.
Personally, I also find fizz more fun to play. Nocturne is just and auto-attacker who has some cc and a point-click ultimate. He's really quite simple to use. The only thing that might require some good timing is his spell shield and his Q.

Fizz, as you probs know is the champion that makes anyone tilt by just being there. He can cover WAY more positions than Nocturne, but his mid lane is the best, with jungle being his worst.
Nocturne is rarely seen but it isn't because he was gutted like Urgot or Yorick; he has simply fallen out of favor in the wake of new kits and mechanics and champions that could do a similar job as Noc with "more on it."
He is very capable of being viable in solo play as the darkness from the ultimate can mess with the lack of communication. He can be built many ways, as an assassin, tank, bruiser, etc... He can be much more "reliable" than Fizz since most of his kit is point and click and isn't a hard champion to learn. Fizz however is a lot more safe, can be also played a lot safer but takes some time to learn and success can't be found right away.

FioraWillCarry1 votesFizz is hard as fuck to jungle. I don't recommend it. He's too mana heavy for one thing but his base damage is too terrible to clear the jungle effectively at early levels. You can barely clear 3 camps before he has to back.
As for Fizz vs Nocturn. I'd prefer Nocturn to be honest. Nocturn's ult is just so powerful and him being an auto attacker means he has a lot of sustained damage. Sustained damage is great against tanks. Fizz on the other hand is pure burst hence tanks become a real problem for him. Nocturn can be built to duel tanks really really well, Fizz cannot.

Meep Man1 votesNocturne because the amount of free AD that his Q provides is bonkers and his E's 2 second fear is amazing. He just gets so many free stats through his Q and W that it's hard to not recommend him. He can be played Top, Jungle, and Middle so he is really versatile.
