I think it would be a nice idea for Kennen's W to have that same type of range indicator. Sometimes I see his W go off and I think I'm in range to hit the enemy champion but in fact it was the minion that was close by.. Not a buff but a nice touch up I believe!
Twitch has an indicator too...

Lee Sin actually doesn't have a range indicator, but he needs one, it would be a nice QOL fix. Doesn't need to be a giant circle like Twitch/Kalista, a simple colored arrow like with Zed would do just fine.

It also should stop going on CD when it doesn't cast but the animation goes off.

the spell lights up when your in range, so it already has its own indicator, not to mention u can only cast it if your target is marked and in range anyways. i am not sure why everyone seems to think all spells should be simple and thoughtless casts. besides if we get an indicator they may end up removing somes or its utility such as tracking invis marked champs. or fishing for stealthed champs with Q and using its light up indicator to know if the invis target is still around or near you (eve comes to mind more so for all for this). kat and morgs ult also have this feature and they also have no need for an indicator (outsides everyone complaing they wanted one for morgs teather which once again was unessesary) nor are they complaining they dont have one.

Im just happy that they're more Kennen players out there... but i agree the range indicator would be great!
