Questions regarding armor penetration and armor reduction

So first things first I apologize if the questions are confusing. I will try to make my post as simple as possible.

As many of you know armor penetration and armor reduction are prioritized in this order:

  1. Flat armor reduction
  2. Percentage armor reduction
  3. Percentage armor penetration
  4. Flat armor penetration

Say, a Darius wants to construct an off-meta build consisting of the Black Cleaver and Last Whisper. He successfully deals 6 instances of physical damage on a target champion, who has 30 base armor and 70 bonus armor. He already has his E maxed, which grants him 25% total armor penetration.

Percentage armor reduction from the Black Cleaver should come first, reducing the target's armor by 30% (30). My question is, how much of this armor reduction affects the target's bonus armor and how much of it affects its base armor? Is it split into 50/50 or is it completely "absorbed" by bonus armor? Edit: Never mind, I found the answer to this question on League of Legends Wiki.

After that, Which one takes priority over the other, percentage total armor penetration or bonus armor penetration? If his 25% total armor penetration comes first after armor reduction, again how much of it affects bonus armor and how much of it affects base armor?

These questions are important because ever since the introduction of the Last Whisper rework, bonus armor penetration has come into play more often than before (before only Yasuo had bonus armor penetration in his kit) and the amount of bonus armor left after armor reduction and possibly percentage total armor penetration is more important than ever because it affects the calculation of bonus armor penetration.

Can a Rioter answer?

I have an idea, let's test it in sandbox mode...

My understanding is that armor is calculated on the sum of the base and bonus. So you would have 100 armor, and reduce 30% from cleaver, and the result would be an effective 70 armor. More pen/reduction would reduce from there.

There are some items that are special, such as last whisper, since it only penetrates bonus armor. In this example, the target would have 70 bonus armor, and whisper penetrates 45% of that, or about 32. Taking this from the total armor (after the aforementioned 30% reduction) results in an effective 38 armor.

If I remember the armor reduction calculation, its something like (armor)/(armor + 100), which means that the target goes from taking 50% reduced damage to 27% reduced damage.

Essentially, as far as I understand the mechanics, the reduction/penetration is based off the total numbers, and then armor is reduced/penetrated for the calculated amounts. For the majority of items and abilities, this will be the total number (base + bonus), but for some special cases (yas ulti, LW) it is specifically typed to calculate off bonus armor.
