We need two different queues, 1. Competitive & 2. Ranked
It's seems fairly obvious to me that the problem with League has always been that there are two different kinds of players being forced to play with each other in the same queue. The first type of player is the one interested in a solo-competitive experience with less emphasis on teamwork and more on individual skill. The second type of player is the one interested in a more in-depth competitive experience with the high level of coordination and teamwork that comes with voice communications.
I feel like classic solo-queue without voice chat would be perfect for the first type of player, while dynamic queue OR solo queue with voice chat would be perfect for the second type of player. Personally for the hypothetical "competitive" queue I'd rather see solo queue with voice chat, as I think it's pretty clear that at the higher levels of play dynamic queue times become way too long in combination with the new role selection feature.
I think it's clear now that there's no way to satisfy both these types of players with a single queue, so the question is would having 3 different queues (normals, ranked, and competitive) split the player base too much?
