Why are two of the AP items w/ CDR on hit?

Seriously item 3100 item 3115

No wonder it's so hard to get 40% CDR on AP champions now. And it's no wonder everyone is going item 3092 , because on top of the gold, it also gives you the option of building item 3158. If you don't you get caught in a trap where you either settle for 30% CDR or are forced to buy a terrible item...item 3060 item 3504 item 3050 item 3152 These are the only items which have AP and 10% CDR. Even then the only AP items with 20% CDR are item 3174 item 3115 item 3165 ... so unless you're going against a team which requires some MR, or if you're an attack heavy AP champion. Then chances are you're totally screwed when it comes to capping out your CDR...

As apposed to an AD champion who can just... item 3508 item 3158 + anything that builds from item 3086

CDR/LvL Glyphs + Morellonomicon = Problem solved

If you want to get Ionians, just get 10% CDR in runes instead of 15/20%.

The only AP champ I ever use anything other than CDR Glyphs is Cassiopeia, but I don't ever play her anymore so... The AP/LvL Glyphs are hardly noticeable on pretty much anything that goes mid lane.

If you're really hell-bent on AP/LvL, 30% CDR is generally pretty suitable or tag in the CDR mastery and get 35%. If you're against a mage, it's generally accepted that HP/LvL Seals are better than MR Glyphs because you can rush an MR item ( item 3174 ) that's much more viable all around than an armor item. ( item 3157 )

Banner of Command isn't that bad actually, and if I'm in desperate need of more MR as a midlaner, and I've already got Grail, then I'll gladly go banner of command.

If you are desperate for CDR, just take scaling CDR runes. I have several pages which use them for different champions and they are really quite convenient.

Zeal items all need nerfs, tbh.

for those saying get just cdr blues, the point is mages shouldn't have to sacrifice runes to make CDR while no other class demands it cause of how easy they can attain it. I believe this general concept is also the reason why riot gave akali her passive at the start of the game instead of having to stat proc it. they didn't think it fair that her passive bound her to specific runes to proc her passive at the start limiting her rune options. cdr should be treated no different for mages. they shouldn't be trapped into forced runes in order to compete.
