No matter how far ahead he gets in laning phase, he just fucking BLOWS mid/late game. I'm literally forced to end the game at 10 minutes every single time, because beyond that point, he's literally useless and a waste of time to play.

I would lose the Bork unless you need it to duel your laner. The damage build sounds like a terrible idea, it has more damage than Aatrox needs and is squishier than Aatrox wants. That build would die much too quickly in teamfights, which is probably why you aren't having much success.
Usually I run 
and perhaps a Bork now if I start to fall off.
The Titanic Hydra is enough to kill squishies with Aatrox, and the Bork leaves you too squishy mid game.
PrinceOfStorms1 votesAatrox has traditionally had to build full damage to really do anything in fights, because if you build tank he doesn't do much. The idea is that you can use your passive in teamfights to compensate for being super squishy, plus Steraks is pretty good.

The changes... well, changed, that.
Now Q+E+R+auto+Titanic+auto is enough to kill most squishies, while being very tanky at the same time.
