I swear to god, Riot will smoke weed, and make Taric top, because it's "healthy".

Who else bets this? I can imagine this.

Riot CertainlyT: Hello summoners, we have decided to change Taric in a extremely healthy way, that we see fit. We allow him to now outplay opponents extremely well with newfound mobility, while support his team. Our balance team is very proud of the product. We decided to change Taric's passive completely, into a quadruple auto attack stack, that reduces the opponent's armor by 5% each hit, and the final hit is 10%, so 25% in total, and the armor stolen is given to teammates nearby until the opponent's armor is back to normal.

We believe this is an extremely healthy change for Taric top, even though his teammates won't be near him, we decided that we wanted a duo top to change the meta. Also, we decided to put Yorick as a new jungle monster for diversity! HYPE TRAIN! So, you guys are probably excited about that.

We put Taric at top lane because we feel this is a very healthy change, and also fuck you, but, who cares, you'll get all the Taric skins anyway, because $. But anyways, we changed Taric's Q into a stun, skillshot, that applies his passive, and will reduce cooldown if hit, and will heal Taric for 30% damage dealt, with a 0.1:1, and 0.7:1 HP, and AD ratio. This is a very simple mechanic we added in in order to allow Taric to make plays.

Taric's W is Gem Sweep. Passive 1: Taric will kill any minion instantly if it is below 100, on a 6 second cooldown. Passive 2: The power of gems will give Taric a dash when he is lower then 35% of his MAX HP. Taric is ranged. This ability has no cooldown, as long as Taric still has gems. This is completely balanced, and is extremely healthy. ACTIVE: Taric's next basic attack will knock him back, knockup the enemy, apply two passive stacks, and will allow him to teleport to a nearby enemy 1000 units away. This ability is on a 25 second cooldown.

Taric's E is Gem Roar. Taric throws gems at a target, making the target feared, slowed, knocked up, stunned, polymorphed into a gem, invulnerable, all passive stacks applied, losing 5% current HP, knocked back, knocked up again, resets on kills and assists, resets on minion kill, costs no mana if resets, not a skillshot, and gives Taric 30% movement speed.

We decided that Taric's gems are too strong, so we didn't give Taric an ultimate, because well, fuck you. Taric is now extremely healthy, and we hope the feedback on the PBE is great like we expected! Also, if the feedback isn't good, we'll release him anyways. Also, we are never nerfing Vayne, please stop with the threads, she is extremely balanced.

Isn't Taric already playable as a top laner? Or at least he was at one point.

Critmaster Garen2 votes

implying this would be a problem. can you give me any good reason why he shouldnt lane top, or morde shouldnt be able to lane bot for that matter?

And?

That's a link not a reasoned response.

-- After her nerfs, her potential for lane sustain and damage mitigation far less. Her lane sustain is worse than Taric, Sona, pretty much everyone.

It's objective evidence that Soraka tends to win games, even when used by players who are picking her up for the first time.

Whatever your perception of how her nerfs have made her bad is, it's wrong.

Objective: Yes; Evidence; No. Because: Scientific Method and (MATH121) Introduction to Statistics. There is a very important, oft-repeated phrase that not enough people know. In a modern society, it's memorization in grade school should be just as important as learning the state capitol.

"Correlation does not imply causation."

Just because two things occur together or are linked through something, it doesn't mean one causes the other or even that they have any real relationship. There are many true, objective statistics that correlate to each other that don't mean anything. Umbrella-use rates correlate with rain fall but that doesn't mean umbrellas cause rain. There may even be third parties that cause it to correlate as in the completely true positive correlation between department stores and police force size. You have presented just a single piece of datum but you give no reasoning or evidence that it is relevant to anything. Plus, as we know how win rate is gathered and that there is no control, accounting for, or even measuring of the variables or circumstance in regard to this number we know it is meaningless.

Let's see, her pick rate is larger than average, the experience of her players is lower than average, as I said she has a pretty good win rate even when used by first timers, she has above average stats in most regards for a support... so why should I take it on your word that she's bad? =)

I suppose it is true that correlation does not imply causation, but I have no reason to assume that Soraka's tendency toward winning games is due to anything but the viability of the champion. If you have some context I am missing other than your, by all means provide it.

Have you actually seen Taric in a lane? This guy is so good at 1 v 1s that it would put Riven to shame.

He is the only champion I seen who can fight Jax late game. The only reason I won that match as Jax was because I just focused on clearing the minions instead and pushed it to his tower (Taric has almost no clear.)

Jax AP > Taric

Also, Nasus can destroy Jax in 1v1. Sated dev Yi probably beats Jax if he can meditate through dodge and Q the stun.

Yeah, AP Jax is scary XD. However, AP Jax isn't that strong in team fights since his build is a lot more squishier than AD Jax.

As a avid Jax player, I have over 60 k mastery points on him and probably played every match up there is top lane. Nasus can give Jax some trouble, but Jax actually have the upper hand if he plays it right.

Against Nasus, I just start Dorans Blade, clear raptors, and TP in with 5 pots. Nasus can't push for level 2 without losing stacks, but Jax can easily chunk Nasus for ~70% of his health with simply Q, E, and AAs. Nasus essentially can't trade back, he can't avoid minion damage like Jax can, his AAs will be dodged, and Siphon Strike does no damage at level 1.

If Nasus backs, he loses more stats, if he doesn't just freeze the lane and make him lose stacks anyways. However, if Nasus is ever allowed to get stacks, he can destroy Jax easily in a 1 v 1.

Yi can actually beat Jax early on, but not late game. Yi can mediate while Jax puts up his Counter Strike, and Q to dodge the stun. If Jax closes E early, Yi can simply turn on him and win the DPS race. However, late game Jax's burst from a third AA + W combo with Tri-force can chunk Yi for 30 to 40% of his HP. Even though Yi's DPS is much greater, he can't take enough hits from Jax to bring him down.

Thing is Sated Yi does not need to take that much damage.. or even crit actually, since so much of his damage is based on the on-hit/true damage. But Yi would have to be smart enough to not use E during Jax's E because that's TONS of true damage gone in the wind.

item 3111 item 3931 item 3153 item 3035 item 3072 + item 3143 or item 3742 You can even screw BT or LW and get a second defensive item.

Normal Yi should lose that duel but Sated Yi should win imo. I'd have to do a custom game to check that.
