Why is Ahri's E even allowed to do damage?
she shouldn't be doing 500 damage with the amount of CC she gets from it. she doesn't need 2 seconds to kill you anyway.

Because most abilities that apply CC deal similar damage?
Not like having a CC ability that deals damage is unique to Ahri. Most mages have at least one.

fiddlesticks.
Did you not see "most"? There are always exceptions; that's why I used the word "most" instead of "all".
Examples similar to Ahri's Charm (i.e. Skillshot with Hard CC and damage on a mage):
E
Q
Passive
Q (on ablaze target)
Q or W

and the only champion in that list remotely similar to ahri would be leblanc, except leblanc can't heal her entire health bar late game by pushing q on a minion wave, doesn't deal true damage, have 3 consecutive dashes or a 2 second charm. while snared you can still auto attack and cast abilities. ahri dashes in your face, point blank charms you, kills you, then dashes away.
And many more~
Stop whining and deal with it, or would you prefer her to still have that damage amp on it? Just be glad that's all it does.
If she doesn't do damage with her E, that means she needs to do burst damage with her Q and W only. That means damage buff to Q and W, which ultimately means she'll be a mobile-burst-poke mage. You don't want that.
Sure! If we can allocate that lost power towards Q, since I can't hit E to save my life, I gladly support this!
because having one of the best CC effects also means she needs high damage.
