Oh, so Riot is willing to take a second look at their LC$bigplays Fiora

But heaven forbid they even utter Cassiopeia's name.

Cass can never be this poison-mage arch type that people fantasize over. Either it will be a scenario where her poisons just flat out do too much DPS and she can poison and walk away, or they won't do enough and she is useless. The sooner people come to terms with this, the sooner they can understand why her E is, and forever will be, a dire necessity to her kit.

I disagree, this is an online game where champions have 4 skills and a passive. I believe the designers can surely be creative enough to come up with a kit that mixes in both poison and E while keeping the champion balanced.

Riot refuses to put in the resources for Cassiopeia because she isn't popular like Ahri or Lee

This is a load of crap. DoT damage inherently has more counterplay than non-DoT damage, it should definitely be possible to accentuate the disadvantages of DoTs and balance them with other strengths to make a kit that feels satisfying to players that want lots of DoTs yet has plenty of opportunities for their enemies to deal with the damage.

Most things that players want in the game are inherently problematic because they call for some big advantage that hasn't been seen before and doesn't really have an easy counter, players who want a focus on DoTs are literally asking Riot to give them a disadvantage and find other ways to balance it out across the kit through damage or utility. It's basically a blank check for their designers.

Well there is only so much rational things they can do. We already have a DOT archtype in the game, that being Swain, so having a champ like Cassiopeia come in and be a bunch of DOTs but under the label -poison- is just boring and would most likely erupt in a pick war of which of the two is currently better.

DOTs can have counterplay depending on what type they are. 3 of Swain's DOTs are unavoidable, given proximity. That's about as much DPS as Riot can allow for a DOT mage to have. Swain was acknowledged as borderline problematic for some time now ad has recently received a love tap for this. Therefore, we know that DOT damage on any champion really is not allowed to pass the threshold that Swain has established. Other DOTs, such as Cass's, are skill shots split into two variants. One is a proximity DOT in that so long as you are in the afflicted area you are receiving damage and one is essentially a tag in that if you get hit, you will now suffer the full DOT.

Now, I actually think she fits her poison role very well. People see poison as a slow death, and unfortunately in a game like league, slow death isn't an option. For slow death to work, one needs to have multiple slow deaths that stack to form a quick death, I.E Swain. However, Riot has played with her poisons as an integral and required part of her kit. No, she does not leave the poison to kill someone. We have Teemo for that. No, she does not leave sheer DOT to kill someone. We have Swain for that. What we have is a kit designed around poison, but not necessarily using that poison's direct damage to kill. In order for Cass to kill, she has to land her poisons. In order for Cass to hit her power curve, she has to land her poisons. In order for Cass to really do anything, she has to land poisons. Her kit is already based around poison. The only things about Cass that isn't poison is her ult, that is supposed to be used as a tool for poison interaction, and her E, which can ONLY be used effectively...with poisons. You won't see Riot changing this "machine gun" style of her's. They're not trying to make a poison Swain, or a Snake Teemo.

It's really disappointing as Fiora follows a trend of characters that have already been done. There isn't a posion-mage archtype fully developed yet, as they want Cass to be a machinegun with her E.

Fiora is the only fencer in league. She is the only champion in league who needs to consistently attack from specific directions on a moment to moment basis. She is the only champion who has a directional counter move that stuns when blocking cc.

I could go on. Just because there is a vocal minority on the boards who whine about her doesn't mean that the rework wasn't amazing.

when they talked about fiora as a "failed rework" they said that the kit rework was a large success. the article was mainly about how her vu was received badly, and how the image of the champion from the rioters who worked on her was vastly different than the picture her players had of her.

imo its just her walking animation that looks really stupid. the rest turned out pretty well.

they wont touch her balance wise or with kit changes. if they do, theyre only going to change some visual aspects and things like her spalsh art.

Fiora deserves to be fixed sooner since she is complete and utter cancer.

Funfact : Fencers are light fighters that don't fuck with guys with heavy armor, but instead are far better against light armor wearers.

Meanwhile at Rito : %max health true damage !!!
