What about it?

He killed you with the autoattack. You know as well as I do that you can't flash an auto.

Maybe if I never flashed Rengo's jump auto before in way clustier situations, then maybe.

You never have.

Nice argument:

"No, you are stupid!"

Also a lie.

The argument is sound. Just because you think it's not doesn't mean it's not.

Once an autoattack animation begins, unless it's interrupted by CC, by the target becoming invulnerable through whatever means, or by the user themselves stopping it, It WILL complete and hit the target, no matter where they are at the time the actual damage lands.

It's always been this way.

But auto can deal damage only if you are in range. Rengar deals damage when he gets into the auto range, 125 units. If you flash before he gets there, you do not recieve damage. Many games I flashed and Rengo - who would otherwise oneshot me - did deal 0 damage.

That is literally never how autos have worked.

I have killed DOZENS of Ezreals who waited an instant too long to try and E away from me, only to get smoked by the autoattack anyway.

Don't believe me? Go 1v1 a friend and try to flash their autos. It's a lot easier to see if you try to flash ranged autos, but they all work that way.

Maybe if there ever was any other autoattack that worked like Rengo's passive. Ezreal E=/=Flash, he has a little windup as long as Rengar's leap, you cannot judge by Ezreal. And I don't have to believe you, I have my experience, way too much to judge this as appropriate.

Even if I was wrong (which I'm not), this interaction would be bullshit anyway and should be removed.

You are wrong. This happens all the time when I play as Zed or sometimes when I flash. To my knowledge it's always been like this and I envy you for this not happening once 'til now. It might be a different story for Kalista though, I think I remember her autos being able to miss but don't quote me on that.

You are right about Kalista. Her auto attacks will miss their target if she loses vision on it before the auto attack hits the enemy.

But this is the only exception of all auto attacks. Rengar is working as intended here. Always has been like this as far as I know.

I agree with you that your death was kinda bullsh*t, but you need to think about it from a coding perspective. At that moment (probably 0.15 seconds or less before you flashed) Rengar was in his ulti, and pressed on your character. At that moment the game determined (by rengars ms and leap duration) when you should die. At that moment there is nothing you could do (besides zhonyas, tahm kench eating you, or something like a zilean ult) to save you. I know it may seem kinda spaghetti code, but the Rengar's jump and damage registered even before you flashed, so that when you flashed the damage was already calculated and done (in character spot).

TL:DR : The Rengar jump and damage was calculated before you flashed.

Hope this helps.

his q is instant and it hit u before u flashed

theres tons of abilities that will hit u even tho u flash. like darius ult

No one in the history of League has ever been able to flash away from a basic attack. Rengar's leap from stealth is a basic attack enhancer, so unless he clicks again and cancels the attack it will hit you. It's been like this every season, including the beta, so you're a little behind on the times here.
