There isn't a problem with the item or the champs. The item did have a price increase already, which was definitely needed on it as it was WAY too cost efficient, but now, the item is fairly balanced considering it needs time to "spool up" to max stacks. It's an item that's great while you're ahead on certain champs and terrible when you're behind.

Kayle, Jax, TF, Xin, Tryn, Voli, and Master Yi all scale with enough AD and AP to justify it now as it is USEFUL for a change.

It's pretty much the Flavor of the Month for now. It'll pass most likely by the time that the actual season starts.

I went 0 and 5 as master yi in a game, as soon as I got my second item (rageblade) I came back so hard we won 12 minutes later

You're talking about Master Yi. The dunk master king. Using am item that gives him AS, AP, AD, and bonus magic damage on hit. Master Yi is good with almost any AS item that gives on hit damage.

I've seen a Yi go out of control with ONLY the Devourer jg item. It wasn't even sated.
