PSA: First Blood doesn't matter if you lose

Title is self-explanatory.

There are definitely times to go for first blood. The extra 100 gold can help you snowball a lane, which is always nice. The rates for LCS teams winning after getting first blood tend to be above 50%, so it's clear it does matter, but it matters who gets first blood. If you get it, great.

The thing is, if you die, your killer gets 300 gold. A net advantage of 100 gold, not taking CS into consideration simply isn't worth it. 100 gold is approximately five minions. Five minions you miss out on while you're dead. Just like that, you've given up your 400g advantage. So really, you could flash-ignite them under their turret. If you pull it off, that's great. Alternatively, you could farm up that item 1036 or item 3673 and wait to kill them.

You have plenty of time Zilean
