More Statistics for Items With Special Abilities
Title, pretty simple idea
When the current line of support items first came out, I thought the gold tracking was a really cool thing (I still think the support item minigames are an interesting part of the game). Likewise, the addition of rune tooltips was a really neat bit of extra utility, I think. That it lets you know what you're getting out of a rune, especially during the game adds to the interactivity of the game in a cool way.
I think tooltips for items with particularly unique abilities (Zz'Rot Portal is a good example of this) would be a handy and fun addition for the same reason.
Some items I think could use added tooltips:

There are a couple items I thought about including (Liandry's, Sterak's, IE, etc), but I think the difference there is the visibility of power. You can count on Liandry's doing burn damage, Sterak's giving a shield, and IE boosting crits---they're very much items you can put on and forget about.
On the other hand, the items I listed don't necessarily offer a frame of reference for their utility (especially the mitigation items). With something like Zhonya's, you press a button, get an effect, and then wait for the cooldown. In contrast, using Adaptive Helm for an example, you take 20% less damage from repeated instances of a spell within a duration. Okay! How much is that really, though?
Again, Zz'Rot Portal is a good example of an item that offers a lot of power you can't necessarily see immediately, but the damage tooltip lets you gauge your effectiveness with it.
In short, tooltips help make hidden power visible, and also it's just fun to see your numbers become bigger numbers.
