Food for thought regarding Dynamic Queue
At the release of dynamic I was among the haters. However, after 3 months of playing dynamic queue I've come to learn that it's not so bad after all.
Riot indefinitely removed Ranked 5v5 and Ranked solo/duo q then combined the two queues together to create one queue and named it Dynamic queue. This new queue enables solo q players to play Ranked 5v5 and allows ranked teams to continue playing ranked together.'
What we think Riot is forgetting: -Solo q players who have no interest in Ranked 5's -Ranked 5's players who can no longer play with teammates above +/- 1 tier.
What we should keep in mind: -Riot wants League of Legends to be a team strategy game rather than two uncoordinated teams duking it out. -Ranked teams should contain players only of similar skill level. This is to ensure appropriate quality games.
What we are forgetting: We can play normal draft mode games if we want the solo queue-esque playstyle/experience. We are able to play normal draft mode games with teammates of greatly varying skill levels (greater than +/1 tier).
Pros of Dynamic Queue Ranked: -Consistent high quality games (Can you really ask for more?)
Cons of Dynamic Queue Ranked: -Feeders, afk's, toxicity, dc's (Nothing different from the previous solo/duo q) -Longer queue times (Previously this issue only affected Master/Challenger tier players for obvious reasons. Lower tier players now experience queue times varying between instant and 15 minutes upwards.
