When are we going to have Supports based on debuffs?

why the entire support class is CC supports, enchanter supports?

how about you start to make fun to play supports that can debuff the enemy team? support Trundle who got olafed for some reasons was a PERFECT one.

i think the closest thing to a debuff support we have is support Sion who can reduces the armor of a single/multiple target(s) by 20%, but you guessed that he's more around cc'ing the enemy team.

sweet, how about an attack speed debuff? Rip support Nunu 2012 AOE high armor debuff for an AD comp? Rip support Taric 2012

damage amplification? linked target that takes a % of damage if the other takes damage? Please stop doing generic supports with protection/bonus AD or AS/CC.

Edit: i see some people talking about Urgot , Riot might makes him a debuff supports with his rework.

Because most people find it funner to be buffed up than be debuffed down. I don´t know to be honest. Illaoi is the closest you´ll find to that right now with her E.

There's huge balancing issues with debuff champs since debuffing an enemy is like buffing every single person on your team, while buffs only affect 1 person on your team.

still want blood lust and Rage spreading in the form of reworked Aatrox and could be debuffs too demoralizing and fear for the enemies as his lore blatantly says he should

Isn't this exactly what I've been making these long-winded posts for? TO DO ANYTHING BESIDES THE SAME THING ON ALMOST EVERY SUPPORT CHAMP IN THE GAME?

Urgot with executioners shuts down healing very well.

Ya know what. Who else thinks Urgot just needs his shield to auto apply to the nearest ally and he can support?

Play Urgot if you want debuffs.

I would love a support built around marking enemies for damage amplification.

but a support that does lame stuff like reduce damage seems kinda pointless when cc monsters like nami and leona exist who can outright hard stun you

When I imagine a debuffer champion, I think of a champion who has the ability to exhaust an enemy constantly.

People say it wouldn't be noticeable but being exhausted is extremely noticeable.

What about supports that play with vision and invisibility? Nearsighting someone is definitely a debuff, and it would be cool IMO for Riot to emphasize vision abilities in the support class like how we have several marksman with some powerful ways of getting vision.

I'd love to see a Witch Doctoresque support in this game.

Most of the time debuffs in PvP don't provide much counterplay.

There's a reason auras are getting gutted OR becoming much more temporary.

You can't just randomly throw PvE elements and think they are going to be a healthy mechanic in PvP, it doesn't work that way.

isn't this why there was a phase that Tryndamere was taken bot? maxing shout and cutting the enemy AD by a fuck ton in aoe from range? very very annoying to challange

Zetto12/9/2016, 2:00:33 AM2 votes

Stat debuffs tend to be really really annoying to balance, as entire kits are based around having stats to compensate and such. That's why we don't have many debuffs that go beyond armor/MR/MS. This is why urgot isn't ever allowed to be viable, as his passive, which im pretty sure is just a damage reduction debuff, tends to do STUPID amounts of work.

Also you know items like item 3046 tend to set an incredibly poor example.

I love this idea, I think debuffing would be much more fun than champions with heals/shields/attack speed buffs. A kind of warlock support that decreases enemy damage with one ability would be cool, and things of that sort.

Riot would probably say something about 'hidden power' and how it's hard to notice it's impact, but I can definitely see it working at some point. Perhaps an anti-healing support, who could constantly apply Healing reduction as a counter to something like Soraka Sona or Vladimir .

Would be extremely toxic to play against them I guess.
