Eve'd Eve was stronger than Live Eve

For those who weren't around for it, Riot nerfed Eve back in the day. They didn't just nerf her, they dumpstered her. They made her absolutely awful intentionally until her remake was done. She was stricken from the free week rotation. People got banned for picking Eve in Ranked.

And even in that miserable state, she was still better than the abomination that's on Live.

Her awful old Innate, combined with damage reduction masteries, made her effectively immune to damage from lane minions when ganking. Her old Q had half the cooldown, better AP scaling, and the same base damage as her Live Q. Her old W gave her TRUE stealth on top of a decent Slow available pre-six. Her old E had much better base damage, magic damage, and shredded both resists, allowing her to hit even harder. Her old Ult gave her a huge move/attack speed buff and, most importantly, a sizable heal every time she scored a takedown on enemy champions.

Does it seem a bit perverse to anyone else that Eve was stronger when Riot intentionally ruined her than she is right now?

Does anyone else think it's high time that Riot revisits their take on what 'permanent stealth' looks like?
