Soo... I started to play hemomancer (/cough vampire) and have few questions.

  1. Why some guides (a lot) recommend Kindlegem and Codex as rush items? Both have the same unique cdr. I dont get it 🤔

  2. Is Protobelt always a first finished item? If I will go bot lane... Will Protobelt still be better than lets say Zhonya? ( Armor vs ADC)

  3. Is Protobelt counting as third attack to proc Phase Rush?

  4. Is Deathcap necessary/recommend as second finished item? Or maybe its better to finish codex/gem (1*).

  5. Is Protobelt truly a core item? If I am bad at taking value out of its active... Wouldn't be better for me to build Spirit Viseage out of gem as lets say second/third item?

  6. Why sorcerers and not ionian bots? Is penetration that much better than damage/health out of excess cdr? (Transcendence). Ionians are 300g cheaper!

  1. Because both give cdr and health which Vlad needs to scale and survive the laning phase.

2)Protobelt doesn't have to be built at all. You can go full AP if you want and rush spellbinder. It's just a very good item on him as it gives cdr and a dash to gap close .

  1. No, but ignite does.

  2. No, you can get zhonyas, Morello, any ap item really. Deathcap synergizes insanely well with Vlad's passive so you should buy it but you don't have to buy it 2nd.

  3. Protobelt can be a part of Vlad's full combo for additional damage but it's not really a core item. Like I said, there are 2 ways to play Vlad, by rushing cdr then ap (easier to play) or building pure AP (like rushing spellbinder dcap)

  4. Because with the standard phase rush rune setup and items you reach 45%cdr without needing to buy Ionian boots. Magic pen is really good, especially early game.
