Give Clairvoyance the Farsight Orb buff

Simple, give Clairvoyance a similar effect that the Farsight Orb has.

{{summoner:2}} - Clairvoyance now places an invisible ward that lasts 1 min and has 3 health. Additionally, the ward reveals targets that attack it for 5 seconds.

Thoughts?

{{summoner:2}} could become so much more interesting.

Make it change its effect based on the trinket you buy similarly how smite changes its effect based on the jungler item you buy.

{{summoner:2}} + item 3340 = Places a stealth ward at the target location (huge range).

{{summoner:2}} + item 3341 = Disables an enemy ward in the target area and makes it give vision for your team for the next 30 seconds.

{{summoner:2}} + item 3342 = Gives the user a vision aura for 10 seconds that reveals the fog of war in their vision radius.

Those are just some suggestions. The point I'm trying to make is that it would be cool to have another summoner spell that changed effects based on itemization. Clarvoyance being a good test subject cause nobody really uses it.

It's obviously hard to make it worth using over flash or exhaust...

I did not even think of that and now... how could it be anything BUT this!? Clairvoyance, as you said, is not "meta" and so is only ever taken on rare cases.

This is going to make me sound old, but does anyone remember back in the days before the "meta" was adc/support bot, ap mid, lee sin jungle, fill top. The meta in the old days was more interesting. People went tank mid, duel ap bot, adc top and random jungler. You never actually knew who was going to go where and so you needed to take {{summoner:2}} to scout the enemy base at the start of the game to see where everyone would go.

I remember how the enemy always (or sometimes) used {{summoner:2}} to scout the base at the start. Even I did it few times.

"c'mon dude, your so lame" yelled the enemies :D

Not bad. We were having a small discussion about the Farsight Orb over here, and I was thinking of reusing the Wolf Smite buff mechanic.
