Unpopular Opinion: I Love "Minigame" Champions

I can understand why people think they may be annoying or gimmicky, but I feel that champions with little side objectives are really fun, both to play as and to play against. It gives each game more flavor than a regular 5v5.

Bard Ally: Collecting chimes is fun Enemy: No downside for repetitive magical journeys

Darius Ally: Rewards staying on an enemy Enemy: Teaches players the importance of using burst damage and kiting

Draven Ally: Keeps you moving and gives you something to do while farming Enemy: Play the game of "keep the draven out of the glowing circle"

Nasus Ally: Teaches the importance of last hitting Enemy: Teaches the importance of denying farm

There are a bunch of other ones I could explain, but I feel like this gets the point across.

Nasus and Darius aren't really the type of "mini-games" people are talking about when they say they don't like them.

Plus most people don't complain about what a mini-game does or does not teach you, they just don't find them enjoyable especially when EVERY new champion has some long list of conditions that must be met just to finally get a pay off that just doesn't feel that rewarding, and every new champion has a billion passives that read like a lost chapter of Sun Tzu's Art of War yet some how they end up not having any more depth then normal. If I am going to have to hit a player 3 times to activate a skill, if I am going to have to go to a solo lane with a skill that only works in a duo lane, if I am going to have to score a crit just to activate some hidden passive, then by god make it have a payoff. Oh and that pay off shouldn't be a non-sensical AOE team-heal on my grand duelist.
