Decisions made in the Top Lane

The tl;dr question here is: take tower or teleport bot?

The scenario is as follows: Let's say you just killed your enemy laner with the help of a friendly gank and he is on death time for the next 20 seconds. Your jungler pings the ~30% health tower, which with both you and him, plus the siege wave coming, you will be able to take.

On bot side, you see that the enemy jungler, seeing that your jungler is top, is ganking your botlane, where all four champions are quite low.

Do you not take top tower and tp bot to protect your botlane and get some kills, or do you just take tower and back, since the fight is over by then?

If this depends on the champion I'm playing, let's just say I'm playing someone ad with gap close potential.

With current changes TAKE TOWER. Your teammates respawn the towers don't.

So you take top tower, while losing bot tower and two teammates die? The enemy team just came out on top for that trade:

Your team - 2 deaths 1 tower loss Enemy team - 1 death 1 tower loss

Like I had said in my other post, it all depends on various things Health/CDs/Items, Your JG could very well take top tower solo if the enemy is on a 20 second death timer and the tower is at 30%. If you have everything available and think that you can change the possible outcome of the bot lane gank even by forcing the enemies to back off and keep your team in lane, WHILE your JG secures the top tower, it benefits your team more.

SOLO queue. The jg IS NOT in your head. So would you rather get assured income or HOPEFUL in the fact you MIGHT turn around bot lane.

Because pinging the tower, then pinging that you're going bot lane, is hard?

Unless your JG has the IQ of a rock, I'm sure since he was the one that pinged the tower, could understand that he is taking the tower and you're helping bot.

Just because it's solo queue doesn't mean that you shouldn't assist your team mates, seeing as LoL is a TEAM GAME, crazy I know.

Personally I think the income would be great, however preventing the enemy team for getting income is better.

The biggest problem with people in league (and other games) is they become very selfish, and refuse to actually help team mates (Read: I lose often cause my team is bad, even though I'm super fed).

I also said that it depends on a lot of things, but just giving the enemy team a gold advantage so you and back faster, should never be priority.

It has nothing to do with selfishness..

it's about determining what is more beneficial ALL-IN-ALL. Getting your tower, means you can roam after and help anyways.

So yeah you are wrong! Guaranteed gold vs Not. That is NOT selfish...it's just logical...apparently you are one of the people that wouldn't want "true" robots to exist because their calculations are better than yours. (If you don't get the reference go watch I-robot)

I am not bashing you or trying to start a fight you asked a question answers were given if you don't like them don't ask...and definitely don't be mad because our suggestions are the opposite of what you did in game.

Hopefully I didn't come across like a dick, however I assume you will think i did based on your previous defensiveness. But there are the same thoughts as my original response but with more "colour".

Lets get a few things straight:

I didn't start this thread
I was asking hypothetical questions based of possible scenarios
I don't care if you're Canadian or not (irrelevant information)

I wasn't defensive at all, I was continuing the discussion, which is generally what you do in forums, incase you aren't aware of this please check out every forum ever.

In response to your robot BS, I believe robots would be an awesome addition to the world, incase you also aren't aware iRobot is a fictional film however.

I don't mind if people respectfully disagree with my opinion, but I also should be given the same respect, I see your point of view, but your blatant refusal to see someone else PoV, proves that your intentions were to be rude and obnoxious for the sake of a few giggles.

Anyway you bore me and I'm actually interested in discussing strategies with the OP and others in the community that are willing to open their blinders for a proper discussion.

tp bot if you can get the bot tower off of tp'ing to it, otherwise just take top. you probably used your ult and are low on health after killing the enemy laner top so you probably won't be in much of a state to engage another fight afterwards.

Wouldn't your JG+Wave be able to take tower, while you help bot lane? 20 seconds on rez is insanely long, your JG should be able to take the tower easily solo.

Even if the Enemy bot+jg backs off when/if they notice your TP you'd still have a secured top tower + your bot lane wouldn't (maybe) be giving away kills. I guess it really depends if you feel that you can for sure change the outcome of bot lane by helping or not.

Is bot lane fed? Is the jg fed? Are you fed? lots of things factor into those types of decisions, if you think that there is a chance that you would end up just giving the bot gank a free kill by TPing in then yes just take the tower, if you have all your CDs and they aren't fed then TP down to help.
