Allistar is obnoxious af

his ult makes him the ultimate zoning tool. there is no reason why a champion with that much zoning potential AND catch potential should be able to walk around in team fights with no way to punish him. a good allistar wont have his ult baited out either. i can't tell you how many games my team has been ahead and we go to teamfight and this guy just zones all the dmg off from the fights while OUR front line gets destroyed since they dont have a ridiculous cooldown like his ult. he walks all in the teamfight for free, CC doesn't even work on him since his ult outlasts most of the cc

Poke his fat ass down, and feign hard engages. It works for me often. Nothing says losing team fight like an Ali that activates ult and suddenly your whole team back off and re-engages 7 seconds later, melting him and the rest.

His ult is so that he can go in and not immediately die. Champions like Leona can CC from afar and have massive stat boosts upon engaging. Alistar really just has -one- CC. His headbutt pulverize combo. Because without flash, there's no reason anyone should get engaged on by an Ali without headbutt and it's just one big CC, although rather drawn out. After that he just walks around and punches you until the CD is back up. At worst, he has two CCs. Nothing like Leona and the triple CC, or Thresh and the triple CC. Or Braum with anti-projectile defense, stat increases, and slows and stuns/knock ups.

He's meant to be a giant meat shield. Nothing else really. Very low damage, and the ult is short too. Just don't fight or ignore him while he's ulted. There's nothing you can do to stop him from using his combo while he has his ult, so no point and trying to peel him off. Just focus on their squishies and peel off those that follow ali onto your carry.
