There are just as many posts commenting on exact issues as there are vent posts. I'm pretty sure no other game company gets to use these excuses, but I guess it's another special Riot double standard.
Why can't we make some obvious program fixes? [Riot spaghetti code that blizzard would not be allowed to use.] Why haven't they made UI support for 4k resolution or anything above 1080p? [Riot non-priority excuse that nobody else would get by with.] Why do they remain silent on the boards? [Riot "PEOPLE BASH US" generalization excuse that no other moba gets by using]
I guess Riot will remain this small indie company that has double standard excuses for every thing they do or don't do. Whether these posts are legit or not, half of the current most active/top threads right now are filled with civilized discussion.

This doesn't excuse Riot to completely ignore the gameplay boards altogether. Yeah there are going to be idiots who make pointless posts without any actual meat put into them and good concerns raised about the game.
But I've seen countless posts that much of the community agrees with that raise genuine concerns go completely ignored and unanswered by the riot team.
For example the Galio changes a while back that gave him this insane burst with percent hp ap burst which is quite possible one of the stupidest balance changes ever just got a quick fix and no one from the balance team had to answer for their mistakes.
I work at costco if I forget to make someone's food at the food court or mess up someone's order it's my job to say sorry and own up to my mistakes.
Riot for the past few years now have made changes the community has completely hated and rarely if ever public apologizes and admits their mistakes. They'd rather sweep it under the rug and just avoid the community and player feedback altogether.

I'd still appreciate for this kind of activity to be more pronounced, frequent and consistent, but this is a good start. If this progresses, there's plenty of opportunity for productive conversation to happen on here.
AirKingNeo2 votesI wouldn't exactly give him much credit in the same way I don't give Meddler credit. He doesn't hold conversation or discussion, just makes announcements and sometimes answers questions, but those answers are usually like an announcement (as in, little to no room for discussion).
Teridax682 votesI agree with this, which is also why I also advocate a measured response before anyone starts showering Riot in praise for doing less than the bare minimum. It's definitely not even close to ideal discussion, but at least it's something, whereas previously we had nothing. That in itself deserves encouragement, even if though we shouldn't allow ourselves to get complacent either.

But as a company, Riot should use their own forum. If they think it's toxic, they should probably do something to fix that.
Part of the reason the place is a cesspool is because Riot is so silent and can't clarify things. Another reason is Riot doesn't spearhead discussion, like they should, so we circlejerks instead. Most aren't used to a higher level of discussion other than, "game bad, yasuo delete, fuck adcs".
