Last season I was cruising comfortably at Platinum 2, peaked at P1 80ish LP.
New season comes around and Im placed gold 3 and I am just getting fucked. wrecked.
These games are going terribly. Im getting SO many AFKs, getting autofilled to roles, getting feeders. I'm even feeding myself a lot of the time. How the fuck did my skill drop SO HEAVILY in between seasons?

Your skill didn't drop, doesnt matter if you are gold 3, you are still playing vs high plat players from last season. That is why I hate this system. Literally they give you far lower division than your MMR is, for example is that you are constantly playing vs plat2+ players while your rank is being gold 3. And you don't skip divisions at all. So basically you are fighting skilled players at a low rank. That shit is fucked up
Four things:
Jungle XP has vastly polarized team success. There's seemingly only room for 1 jungler to be healthy now, and the one who is, generally has a major magnitude advantage the entire game, because of the drakes playing such a polarizing role now.
Support is utterly unforgiving now. If your adc and you don't recall at the exact same time, your support will be instantly 2 levels behind, and never recover due to the lack of ability to reliably poke when underleveled, which ironically also puts them out of range for even more XP once they do get back to lane. In other words, it's become absolutely crucial to be the adc/support that's aggressive early game and goes for those early game kills and control your farm, in contrast to outright Freeze, which generally means being 6-8 CS behind the other team. If the other team is of similar skill, and abuses the CS difference, you have no chance of winning the lane, and often this also means losing drakes.
Double Herald spawns, and objectives being closer together in timing. You no longer have time to breathe and think, because every time an objective gets cleared, there's another one around the corner. This is causing people on average to become poorer farmers/cser.
