This patch is juggernaut level frustrating. Some constructive feedback.
The game already felt broken in so many ways. And instead of fixing it they compounded some problems. Ignored others. And created new ones. Rant now. TL;DR at the bottom.
This short little rant is obviously opinionated and only based on my experience. Let's start with Brand. just...why.... That's probably all I NEED to say in order to get my point across but I will elaborate at least a little. Why does his passive not have a cap on minion health. I was hitting baron with my passive for 1600. If you HAD to cap it. I would cap it to be the equivalent of the same lvl smite damage.
My next problem with Brand is the sheer damage output of his passive in lane. Specifically botlane. Maybe a lowering of the base and increase in ratio? Not sure on that one. Brand may or may not be OP idk. But I can say support brand just feels like he does a bit to much damage with the passive combust. Also it probably needs an internal CD per target. I know it has a "cd" because of his normal spell CDs but that's not enough.
Second on the list. Is the rageblade change along with the bloodrazor. I will start by saying that I think the bloodrazor in a vacuum was a good change. By itself the item is pretty balanced. 3% MHP on hit, but an item equal in gold value of AD would probably net the same damage per auto. The problem becomes apparent when you include phantom hit, and certain champion mechanics. To be blunt. **Phantom hit needs to go. ** It creates so many balance issues. But more importantly. It's simply not fun to play against. I think we forget how important that is. It's not fun for a jg Kayle to walk up and q 3 AA you in 1 second flat. Or the Yi to do the same, ON TOP OF doing 2k true damage to your tank in 3-4 seconds.
There is counterplay to this stuff . But at what point do we say something is too frustrating to play against regardless of the level of counterplay. I'm looking at you blitz! Although this rant is about this patch so I digress.
Oh and by merlins beard, PLEASE Add the ranged auto attack restriction back to the Phantom hit if you aren't going to remove it. Nobody likes getting killed by a kog'maw in .5 seconds.
Anyway that does it for this rant. I'm sure there is more broken stuff out there ( I Hear malz is op) But I can only go off what I have experienced so far. Thanks for reading guys!
TL;DR
Brand passive is too strong. Specifically in botlane Phantom hit ( rageblade) needs to leave the damn game. Bloodrazor is fine AS LONG AS THERE IS NO RAGEBLADE. Phantom hit needs previous ranged AA restriction from sated devourer. Counter play isn't the end all be all of an argument. From a VIDEO GAME stand point. You HAVE to compare frustration/"fun" levels against required counterplay. And also acknowledge that a given "counterplay"(micro or macro) isn't always as good in an actual game environment then in theory.
